Thats normal.

Thats just the sound of the braid and the drag.

If thats all, then nothing to worry about

Sounds and looks as if your drag is loose. I suggest tightening the drag. It's the star shaped dial next to the reel handle. Roll it forward to tighten it.

Is this with the line taking against the drag or is it line coming off in free spool mode?

Against drag. I backlashed and when I pulled it out it started doing that sound

Drag seems smooth, if everything seems to be working well, don't worry.  Drag setting appears to be pretty light.  I think I'd just go fishing and react as necessary later if something malfunctions.

I’m no expert but I couldn’t hear any sound coming from the rod from you pulling the string. Now the sound coming from the reel? I think it sounded normal to me when pulling back through drag quickly, but I can’t verify it because none of my bc reels have braid on them. Maybe pull the line very slowly and see if the sound can be duplicated.

It sounds to me like the anti-reverse isn't engaged completely.  If it's a Daiwa, push up on the thumb bar to make sure the gears are fully engaged.  It isn't the drag making the noise, it's more of a clicking noise and that has to be from something hitting ever so slightly against something else internally.

When was the last time the reel was cleaned?

It’s new, my 2nd time using it. I’ve used it for probably a total of 2 hours

It’s the little guide hole for the line, not sure the exact name of it. When I pull line without the guide it doesn’t do that noise hmm

Make sure the nut on the underside of the level wind guide pawl is tightened snugly and not loose.  Maybe  the pawl is not fully engaged with the worm gear.

If it doesn’t make that noise when it’s not thur the line guide on the level wind. Then I’m guessing, its your line. Braid is noisy, I’ve found the lower number the strand is, the noisier it is.

The only thing I’m hearing is the sound of the braid coming off the line which is completely normal. Seems like it’s packed on pretty tight as well (as it should be).

Dont worry. Be Happy. Go fishin’ now.

Well, what I’m seeing and hearing is loosely reeled line coming off from being buried a little from line that was spooled on top of it.

You can tell that by the line coming off on one far side for the first few revolutions of the spool and the remaining line on the spool at the end of the video is not flat and even.

I’d bet if you kept pulling it would all work itself out and come off as it should.

I listened to it again and I agree with a post above that said it's just noisy braid going through the level wind guide.  Try some 8 carrier braid like Power Pro SuperSlick8 V2.  It works well on baitcasters and should make less noise.

Thank you everyone !
i will change the line and see if that’s what was causing it. I just thought I spooled it up wrong.
It’s power pro 20 lb

Suggest that you use The Professor Braid Aid*  before changing line.
