I'm probably going to get one or the other pretty soon.   I use my side view some so I "think" I'll be fairly familiar with mega 360.   I honestly don't know if I would stare at a screen and watch the fish respond to my lure.

Right now I have an older Garmin unit, and a Lowrance Elite Ti2, so I'd have to buy everything for active target, live scope, mega live, or mega 360.  I'm not concerned with controlling or monitoring anything so brand doesn't matter.

What are y'alls suggestions.   Does anyone have both?

If you get forward facing sonar, you will, at first, stare at your screen to see how they respond. It is one of those things you will have to do to get used to it by being able to see your bait, and cast accurately to your spot.  Once you can see your bait, you will see the fish react or not react.

It can be addicting especially if you find a school and you start getting bit.

I have the Ghost 360 and Active Target. I use active target more than the 360. I use a lot of side scan and down scan to locate structure, and then use the active target once I am on it.

I got 360 four year ago and MEGA 360 a little over a year ago.  I got MEGA Live this spring.   I never thought I would say this but I would choose Live over 360 if I had to choose.  It really is a game changer.
