Deebo Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Anyone used the Houdini largo shads and can comment if this is normal for them? Mine have a large amount of white in them that I didn't see on sites. Was hoping for something that would go a little better for bluegill colored swim jigs. Quote
Super User casts_by_fly Posted September 7, 2022 Super User Posted September 7, 2022 I don’t know largo Shads but that much variation is normal in other soft plastics. Ayu is one of my preferred colors for bluegill swimjigs and the keitech SIF are very light on the bottom in that color (at least the pack I have). I’d be more than happy to fish those you have there. Cbump Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 If you don’t like those send them my way. They look sweet. 2 Quote
Revival Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Looks a lot different than the stock pics but I also think it looks sweet. They look more RI bullfrogish. Quote
Super User NorthernBasser Posted September 7, 2022 Super User Posted September 7, 2022 A few of them do seem to have more white than usual. There's usually white, but not that much. They do make great trailers tho. As is, it'll have a tighter thump, but if you tear off that little flange it'll thump a little more. This is what mine usually look like. (I sometimes dip the tail in JJ's) 1 Quote

Deebo Posted September 7, 2022 Author Posted September 7, 2022 I really like the largo shads in general. They work well on a spinnerbait, swim jig, ball head for me. My only gripe is there's not a lot of darker colors other than the real image ones. I'm sure these will function as well as normal. I sent a message to rapalas customer service at the time of posting and they said they weren't a fan, and are shipping out a replacement. As far as the bait performance and customer service they are a 10! I just gotta feed my matchy matchy side lol 1 Quote

I too like largos, esp for the price. They really have a nice body roll Quote
