Super User Darth-Baiter Posted September 7, 2022 Author Super User Posted September 7, 2022 my friend gets well water. he has a filter system, but when he washes his glass lenses, he spritzes everything down with distilled water and then lets it air-dry. not sure I have the fortitude for one more step Quote
Cbump Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 I do use my shirt to wipe the lenses. Mine are glass. Takes a lot to scratch them. Quote

I wore the glass lens ones for like 10 minutes and the weight was noticeable. So multiplied to 5 hours of fishing and I knew they wouldn't work. Plus that and they're about twice the cost. They are more scratch resistant though, no doubt about it. Quote
zell_pop1 Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Get a good Trivex lens and you have the best of both worlds-lightweight and strong like polycarbonate but nearly as clear and scratch proof as glass. Costa prescription glasses are Trivex. Quote
