FrnkNsteen Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Anybody they the new Berkley Slobberknocker yet. Looks lime a new method for attaching the blade. Curious, ... But at $13.99, it's a little tough to justify over a Jackhammer at sale price or Thundercricket or Shock at a cheaper regular price. 1 Quote
FrnkNsteen Posted September 4, 2022 Author Posted September 4, 2022 That being said,... What are people's opinions on the Siebert Fogy or Tremor blade baits? I was just on their site looking at some of their jigs, swimjigs and blades and having a hard time deciding what to order to try. I've seen where a lot of people have spoken very highly of them!! What are some of your favorite models? Quote

What are some of your favorite models? Fogy has a lot more random left and right hunting action with deeper thump than the JH. I have a bunch of both but I go JH if I have to choose one. I use the Siebert swim jigs almost exclusively. He’s got a bunch of different kinds…swim jig and shot caller are both solid choices. Typically the differences are nuanced with slightly different hooks and shaped lead heads. 1 Quote
Phelptwan Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Tried it and I hated the one I got. Just can't seem to get the hook in fish. I prefer Fogy's and Jackhammers. On a side note, compared mine to a friends and it seems the hook on mine is bent in a bit further and slightly offset to one side. Not sure if this contributes to the issues or not, but I have zero confidence in it. Quote
FrnkNsteen Posted September 5, 2022 Author Posted September 5, 2022 Thanks guys,.. Think I will hold off on the Berkley and order some different tbings from Siebert. 1 Quote
FrnkNsteen Posted October 9, 2022 Author Posted October 9, 2022 Just an update,... I ordered a variety of items from Siebert and was very happy with what I got. I ordered a few different Fogy baita, a couple Shot Caller swim jigs, a couple Dredge brush jigs, and a couple different type of spinnerbaits. One regular and one compact. The quality of everything seemed to be very good, and I liked the option of the wire tied skirts that I had chosen. No more picking a jig and finding the rubber band had deteriorated and fell apart. Only have had a chance to try out the Fogy, but I already know I like it. It seems to throw a good amount of vibration and it starts up nice and quick. Considering the price and the quality,... I have no doubt I will be ordering more!! 2 Quote
