Lynn came home today.

No wheel chair, no walker & no cane.

Been through the wringer and she's surely feeling it.

I am both happy & as you can image, relieved.

After nearly a month of 'tests' aimed at discovering what caused this

rapid & serious loss of health, turns out the culprit is her bone marrow.

It's unwell.

Won't ever get any better but there's precious little room for it to get worse.

A bit of a respite for the holiday weekend,

then we'll me seeing a specialist who can hopefully

give us more time.

Thank you again for the kind words & support.

When you appreciate every second of the now because you know what the past is and the future will be you really love the gift of the present.

Yesterday makes it a week at home.

All I can say is, Amazing.

Lynn's just about made a full recovery (serious relative term if there ever was one).

Started slowly but now she's up & about and feeling considerably more stable on her feet.

Even gets out with the dogs a few times a day.

We'd both love it if she could get out on the water with me again,

but that still seems a little ways off.

Maybe next season.

We've been through several of these kind of 'events' over the years.

Each one seems to get a little more serious.

Lynn's desire & ability to bounce back mentally, physically & emotionally

is inspiring.

True Inner Strength & Courage comes in all shapes and sizes.

Thank you all for watching over us.

Glad to hear the good news. I read the thread a while back, then lost it. May God show you and your family mercy.

Been almost 3 weeks at home now

and Lynn is doing really good.

We still had a Hematologists appointment leering ahead.

Bone marrow status in question.

Lynn's had multiple blood tests in advance of this appointment and

we'd be finding out the results of them.

Well we had that appointment today . . . . . .

and we got Good news, No Great News, Almost too good to be true.

Seems her body is making it happen

and is going about a full repair of the damage that had occurred.

There were tears.

I'm not sure who was happier, us or the good Doctor, he was sort of giddy himself.

I get it though, the man's job description includes passing on some rather dreadful news to folks,

just about every day.

This whole deal will continue to be monitored closely, and for a while.

But we get a reprieve, for now anyway.
I'll take it.

I've been thankful for a lot of things in my life, but this was a biggie.

Stay Healthy & Safe

That’s just great man! You hear so many times how people’s lives get ripped apart from illness, it’s so nice to hear about someone beating the ever loving crap out of it for a change. Way to go Lynn, keep kicking that scoundrel to the dirt ??

Great news! A great mindset and a willingness to fight always helps (as you both know).
