Super User Columbia Craw Posted September 21, 2023 Super User Posted September 21, 2023 If Lynn needs a marrow transplant.....I’m your guy Andy. DeAnn’s endometriosis strohmmel sarcoma is still static after 23 years and her various skin cancers have been effectively treated. Her right ear looks similar to Evander Holyfield’s but she’s used to it now. Bless you both!!! 1 Quote
Functional Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Just came across this thread today and went start to finish here. Seriously thinking about you both and its great she's doing so much better and you 2 finally get a win! With that said, give yourself a lot credit Andy (I certainly do)! I've only pretty much exclusively been on Lynn's side but I can absolutely tell you having a strong person going through it with me was what kept (keeps) me as strong as I am through it all. She will get all the compliments for being tough but YOU are no doubt a huge reason you wife is able to get through this all with your support. The caregiver rarely gets the full recognition they deserve but make no mistake you play a large part of her success. Your experience is different for sure but is also the hardest aside from hers out of everyone involved. It certainly takes a team in these situations and I'm not taking anything away from Lynn because I'm sure its hell on her and having a strong mental attitude is mandatory. People like you and my wife are reasons Lynn is doing the best she can. You BOTH deserve tomahawks and potatoes for sure! 1 2 Quote

Doc's pretty much told her she will have to undergo surgery every 5 years or so. She's just about due for the 3rd one. 1 1 Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted September 30, 2023 Author Super User Posted September 30, 2023 Last few blood test results have come back "better'. So the schedule for them has been modified from weekly to twice a month. This is one of those things, that on the surface, might not seem like much. But in our little world, it's a Big Deal. Enough in fact that Lynn's overall 'Spirit" is back to a level not seen in, let's just call it "A While". When she's feeling better - So am I. Changes things. Stay Healthy & Safe and we both appreciate your support. A-Jay 19 Quote

The peace of knowing you have 2 weeks to enjoy your time instead of counting down the next few days does a world of difference in your mental health. Congrats to both of you! Celebrate every win. 1 Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted November 9, 2023 Author Super User Posted November 9, 2023 Been 5 weeks of declining blood test results. Hematologist ordered a bone marrow biopsy which Lynn had this morning. Results will be back in a few days. Should have some more 'answers.' But honestly, I don't really want to know. It's probably not going to be good. Sleep's been an issue for us both. Stay healthy my friends. A-Jay 1 15 Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted November 16, 2023 Author Super User Posted November 16, 2023 Still waiting on the bone marrow biopsy test results. In the mean time, one of the infections that landed Lynn in the hospital for a month, is back. Stat blood test first thing in the morning, and then they'll formulate a treatment plan. Caught this one much earlier than last go around because we knew what to look for. Hope that pays off some how. Inner strength may be a skill but my emotions are about to go on auto pilot. Stay Healthy A-Jay 1 Quote
