Incurable diseases are ruthless.

They never let up.

There's never a break.

Just beating us down every single minute of every single day.

They only seem to compound and get worse.

Wife's been battling with several for over 22 years now.

Don't know how she does it.

Modern medicine is at a loss.

Feels like us against the world.

My cup is getting dangerously full.

Good thing winter's on it's way.'

That should make it better.

A-Jay

Keeping you guys in our thoughts and sending some mighty hefty Prayers your way.

My wife Dee, is declining, can hardly stand without help. Lucky for us, we have what I consider the Best Son on earth, at 6'7" and 300 lbs, he lifts her up with ease, which make life much easier on all of us.

The Best to both of you Andy.

Mine was cure able obviously because I’m still here. Nonetheless cure able or not it takes a mental role on a person. I was 19 and lived life more than most my age at that point. I saw kids in the childrens hospital that didn’t stand a chance that lived every day like it was their last and some of which were their last. Kids are pretty incredible humans. Maybe it’s the innocence or the immaturity but their pretty incredible regardless. It probably the ladder that gave me the strength to pull through. Regardless of your age a little family immaturity goes a long way to boost the human spirit.

I’ve yet to be on the opposite side of things so I can’t help there. I don’t know Lynn personally but from what I’ve seen she has one helluva a spirit and personality, so feed off from that my friend. Stay strong Andy.

Thank you all,

I am a big time internalizer when it comes to coping skills.  May not be the best but it's how I do it.  Eventually the overwhelming reality busts through and it just hurts.

I'm ok, but truely hate the feeling.

Every chance you get, Hug your love, hard.

I get you. My wife has had MS for over 18 years. Worked as an RN and in all that time, only missed one day of work. One day in 17 years. But she had a bad reaction to her 2nd Moderna shot which exacerbated her symptoms to the point she had to stop working and retire at 55. She’s tough as nails but breaks down often in tears. It’s hard when husbands can’t “fix” things. There’s no fix.

It is a daily struggle for them and us. More for them, but still, we struggle as well. I wish you both well.

I'm at a loss for words A-Jay.

I can't offer you wisdom

I can't offer you medical help

And I can't offer you a cure

The only things I can offer is hope and prayers. I hope for a healthy solution and prayers for speedy results.

Be strong mi amigo.

Chronic diseases are so tough. It's hard when you are used to being the rock in the family and you feel powerless to help.

Sending good thoughts your way for you and your wife. Hang in there man.

Latest diagnosis includes stage 4 heart failure.  Just doesn't get much worse and I am completly numb.   Some brutally hard decisions need to be made the next few weeks.

Nothing will ever be the same.

I'll be stepping away from here for good while as this brutal deal runs it's course. When it comes to life's tests, this one's up there.  Going to find out just how much metal I may have left.

Take care.

I don't know what I can say to help, Andy. Muster what strength

you may have. Stay strong for Lynn. And let her strength be

yours... I send a virtual hug to you....
