Hi

I decided to start fishing again after a 15 year gap. I was/am(?) a hard core gamer but the idea of sitting around after I retire (soon-ish) doing nothing but gaming made me sad.

So I got out all my old gear updated the line added so swim Bates and a light weight tackle bag and have been hitting a local lake once a week in rented boats.

I have been revitalizing old Shakespeare underspin reels and actually putting a new handle on a spinning rod to fit my 1810 reel.

Haven't caught much yet, but I am having fun. Looking forward to interacting with you all.

J

Welcome. What part of MD? I'm in Charles county. Fishing is quite good in these parts.

Baltimore County, I have been fishing Loch Reven

Good lake, I'd fish it more if it was closer, it is feast or famine for most of the year though, guys that fish it a lot do pretty well. Some big LMB, and pike in there as well as some other things. I'll be up that way at least a couple of times once the water starts cooling off in earnest.

But the real question is… do you have RGB lights and a gaming chair? If you don’t, your K/D ratio is about half of its potential.

If it weren’t for my son I’d have no idea either ?, thankfully he’s also fully engaged in his high school football and track teams and takes his academics seriously so he’s well rounded. Happy to hear you’re getting back into fishing as I also took a too long hiatus from the sport. You’ve come to the right place but you will also become friends with the bait monkey which will cut into the gaming funds, in a good way in my humble opinion.
