radiant Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Im deciding to pick up a sleeper gill, I tried the glitter wild gill and only got one bite on it, I set the hook and the tail ripped. Would the noike gill look more natural since smaller bluegill seem to look more light and less colors, any tips are appreciated. Quote
Super User NorthernBasser Posted September 1, 2022 Super User Posted September 1, 2022 I think you're splitting hairs with a lot of those Sleeper Gill colors. Many are quite similar. And live gills may be darker/lighter depending on the water they live in, or if they're living under mats/pads. With that said, this has been by far my most productive color. Pumpkinseed. 1 Quote

Super User casts_by_fly Posted September 4, 2022 Super User Posted September 4, 2022 I’d pick between them by what’s on sale at that point. If you want to get really matching then go catch a couple bluegills and take a picture for reference. 1 Quote
