Most of the time comfortable and unoppressive.

That's generally what we have here in the summer too.  August has been a very nice month up here.  It can get humid in the summer at times here but usually doesn't go on for days or weeks on end like it does in the south.

Wellsboro is a great little town. The wife loves it at Christmas time for their Dickens of a Christmas.

Yes, it is. When I think of small towns where I'd like to live Wellsboro is at the top of the list.

I might move next door to some poor Tennessee guys.  haha..

I love this State, but no State income tax would be kinda nice.  I do assume my property taxes would go up.  no free lunch.

Property taxes where I live in mid Michigan aren’t bad. Like anywhere it depends on where you live. I’m in an area with tiny towns or villages. Some areas around here are $1500 a year for an average house. Move towards the bigger cities or have an above average house you’re naturally going to pay more.

The snow isn’t that bad anymore. Usually the big snow storms for us are very few and far between. 8-10” dumpings are about as bad as they get nowadays.

you all mentioned beer.

funny you mention it.  I live in Santa Rosa CA.  home of Russian River Brewery.  they were #1 rated forever.  the undisputed champion of IPA.  until they weren't.  dethroned unceremoniously.  by who?  by a brewery from Michigan!!!  (Bell Brewery?) I asked my wife to seek some out.  she is way less interested than I am.  boo!!!  no beer for me in her luggage.

Grand Rapids resident reporting. Lots of good fishing in the area, for lots of species.  Very affordable, city is big enough to have plenty to do year round, but is not overwhelmingly huge. We do get a lot of snow, but winters are not THAT bad (not as bad as A-Jay's place at least; hes a couple hours north).

Like beer?  We have beer. A lot of it.

My Son moved to  Walker earlier this year. I thought he’d be back in a month ,but he seems to like it there…he’s already catching fish

The Walker area is nice. You’re close to town and just head north 5-10 minutes and you’re in the country.

I'm technically in Walker too -- Looks like he's already found all my spots!
