she thinks she can live there.  she said it's green and wet.  lots of water.  no water saving shower heads in her bathroom.  haha

she already googled earth a bunch of fishing spots for me.  it does looks good.  NOW.  i reminded her about winter.  shoveling snow, long winters,..

she got all caught up with how cute the homes were, and what they cost.

personally i can live anywhere.  my dad said he only needs three things.  1. good job 2. good friends, 3. the love of a good woman.

i think he was onto something.  but my dad never shoveled snow.  :)

We were stationed in Northern Japan where it snows 12’ every year. She’s not doing that again.

Grand Rapids resident reporting. Lots of good fishing in the area, for lots of species.  Very affordable, city is big enough to have plenty to do year round, but is not overwhelmingly huge. We do get a lot of snow, but winters are not THAT bad (not as bad as A-Jay's place at least; hes a couple hours north).

Like beer?  We have beer. A lot of it.

I grew up in Wisconsin.....even that did not prepare me for Misawa winters.  Where I'm at now averages about 7 inches per year....that's about as much as I am willing to deal with now

It isn’t that big, but I get my fill of the downtown traffic throughout the week. The outskirts, I’m good with. It is a nice city though.

Beer City USA!

Temperatures are going up everywhere! By the time you move to Michigan it may be a tropical paradise ;)

As much as I want to leave Cali sometimes, I can't really think of anyplace else I want to actually live, regardless of price.

I might move next door to some poor Tennessee guys.  haha..

I love this State, but no State income tax would be kinda nice.  I do assume my property taxes would go up.  no free lunch.

As a guy that's shoveled lots of snow ill say he likely never considered that..it is not much fun.

Wellsboro is a great little town. The wife loves it at Christmas time for their Dickens of a Christmas.

South Carolina's pretty nice for fishing and weather. But leave California behind if you come to stay.

I'm from a couple hours north of GR but have spent a lot of time there. I love the area. The city is one of my favorites in the country. Never personally fished down that direction, but if the Fishbrain app is any indicator there's a lot of good bass fishing.

The snow ... Well... Yeah. There is that. Lol But I've learned it makes the spring that much sweeter.

Grew up in Nebraska, lived in Massachusetts, moved to Northern Virginia 30+ years ago.  Winters here are tolerable.  When in Massachusetts we bought our house in the fall moving from Kansas City.  I had 5 acres on a mountainside with a long access road to a circle driveway and a spur to the garage.  First snowfall we were outside marveling at the size of the snowflakes.  Went to bed and when we got up the next morning, I told the wife I would shovel to the circle drive and then we would call someone to plow us out.  I went into the garage grabbed the snow shovel and pressed the garage door open button.  As the door slowly rose, all I saw was snow.  There was a 1 foot gap at the top of the garage and the snow.  I climbed up and my knees were even with the roof gutters.?. I heard a honking down at the main road and there was a truck with a blade.  I waved him up and went back in the house and got a cup of coffee.  Best $200 I ever spent.?

High relative humidity, but reasonable dew point. Most of the time comfortable and unoppressive.
