Traveling is one of my greatest joys.  it is really something my wife and i share.  i am grateful to have it.

i love learning other cultures.  opens my eyes to how others think and stuff.  i like to think it makes me a better person.  more rounded.  Peru literally made me more rounded.  like fat rounded.  the food was so good.  good thing the 12000+ feet elevation seemed to burn more calories.  :)  it seemed like the entire population of Cusco Peru had the cardio capabilities of a timber wolf.  they never tire!!!

I am all about stripers!  For more than a decade that was my main target below Pickwick Dam.

My PB is 48 lbs.

Oh man, how big is the bucket?

I’d love to see the aurora borealis.

Dive the wrecks in Truk lagoon.

See the volcanoes and the USS Arizona memorial in Hawaii.

Catch a big musky.

Fish Great Slave Lake in the NWT

Hunt interior grizzly and Alaska-Yukon moose in Alaska (see Denali, too)

See the Baltimore Orioles reach the World Series again

You can do both 1 & 5 or 1 & 6 at the same time.

I have a low eye for a high fence, but if I could just make it back to the smoky mountains once more I’d be satisfied.

The Rockies would be great too.

You're right. Although, I'm quite sure my grizzly/moose days are behind me. It's a dream, but likely not gonna happen. But the aurora? That will happen one day.

Most of my bucket list is complete but there are a few things left to do.

1.  Go to a Super Bowl, preferably one the Seahawks win.

2  .Go to Hawaii, the only state I haven't been to.

3.  Fish Lake Menderchuck

4.  Tell the Bait Monkey to go bug some one else, because I have it all.

I’ve done a lot on my list.
Living in Florida my whole life I’ve been able to catch almost all the species of fish that live here. Fresh and saltwater.
Been to Costa Rica 3 times but Panama is still on the list.
Married the love of my life who loves to fish.
While I’ve had my share of hot rods back in the days, still would like a 58-59 Chevy Apache truck.
Still need to see the US west.
Got a 4lb smallie on Dale Hollow but would like to fish where 5-6’s swim.

Bonus points if it doesnt revolve around fishing. :)

….….second, i WILL see the Northern Lights before i shuffle off this mortal coil.  i am thinking Finland or something.

I’ve seen the northern lights several times but none was more spectacular than I saw while on a fishing to Great Slave Lake in the Northwest Territories in Canada. The city of Yellowknife was the closest city and has often been sited as one of the best places to see the Aurora in North America.

i agree.  my big game, off the grid hunts are behind me.  like a hobby car project, it just doenst seem fun anymore.  but a fly in camp would be awesome.  landing a plane on an alpine lake would probably curb my need to touch down on an aircraft carrier.  it is at least attainable.

I’d rather get hit with a 2x4 in the teeth haha

Never heard that before, but I like it.

I guess I have a high eye for a low fence, then.   I've done and seen plenty.

My bucket list is short, but I make a new list every day.   And each day it is the same 'list':

'Wake up tomorrow'....pretty lofty goal, huh?

Shouldn’t things on a bucket list be obtainable? ?

The only thing that comes to mind right off of the bat is buying a boat.

I’ve got a few bucket list things I’d like to do, some are reasonable others not so much;

fish in the Amazon for peacock bass

take the Mrs on a cruise through the Panama Canal

take the Mrs on a return cruise to Alaska and the Caribbean

make a Bass Resource road trip

go to the Spring Training in Florida

watch some baseball in some other Major League ballparks

bass fish in Walt Disney World

go to the Reno Air Races

there’s probably some more things but this should keep me busy for awhile …

I would'nt say its not comepletely fishing related, but I would love to eventually own my fish farm and who's to say I couldn't have my own private fishing pond. Other than that most of my bucket list involves catching crazy species all over the world

I haven't been able to go on a real vacation with my wife due to many reasons,  oddly money hasn't been one of them. I want to go somewhere with her just once to be away from all of it.

If I didn’t go on a stupid vacation 5 times a year I would be not only divorced but probably excommunicated from my entire family hahah

i look forward to the day when I won’t have to travel anywhere, unfortunately i don’t think it will be while I’m alive

At 70 years old I've checked off most things on my bucket list. With that being said there are two things I still want to do.

  1. Attend opening day for the St. Louis Cardinals - had this planned for 2020 but Covid got in the way. If everything goes as planned we will check this one off next year.
  2. Attend a World Series game in St. Louis.

As you might suspect, I'm a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan.
