El jefe Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Anybody use these.... I bought a couple packs.... don't remember what I payed for them but it was a a local small shop so probably overpriced. They seem extremely soft.... super nice colors, but I doubt they will hold up to many fish. Is this common with all hand pours? Roboworm is my main worm other than some random packs bought here and there over the years. Is it worth it or save them for really tuff situations? Quote

Super User Jig Man Posted August 26, 2022 Super User Posted August 26, 2022 Hand pours should be more expensive than others because of the time and energy it takes a guy to make them plus the fact that he pays more for components than large companies. 1 Quote
garroyo130 Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 Im partial to hand pours although I honestly think its all in my head. Buy a jar of mend-it and fish them until they can be repaired. One of my most productive lures this summer has been a hand poured 10 inch worm cut down to 4 inches. I usually fish them until they dont hold on the hook then glue them back together with mend-it followed by a quick flash with a lighter. Quote
KP Duty Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 I haven't used that brand, but I'll take a super soft hand pour over an injection molded bait every time...regardless of durability. My favorite worm in the early '90's was the gene larew 8" hooktail worm. Around '95, larew went to injection molding for their baits. My hooktail worm was never the same and I quit using them. Quote
