Super User T-Billy Posted August 28, 2022 Super User Posted August 28, 2022 Just now, LrgmouthShad said: You need plum, tequila sunrise, and watermelon red. Bait monkey is just trying to help you ? I've fished two of those three. Plus green pumpkin, and pumpkin seed, probably a few others. Sometimes they like those other colors, sometimes not. They ALWAYS eat black and junebug. Sunny, cloudy, clear, stained, doesn't matter. Quote
KP Duty Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Not getting bites = location change. Was getting bites, but not now = color change. Quote
Jp_midwest Posted August 29, 2022 Posted August 29, 2022 that is mike gilbert of working class zero talking about isolated bass populations, hes mostly tying it back to swimbait fishing but it can be applied to normal bass fishing. normally its always the location and not that bait or color. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted August 29, 2022 Super User Posted August 29, 2022 I think it may be both depending on the conditions. Earlier this year it was color. It didn't matter where I was casting to. Now it's all about location. I have to about hit the bass in the head with the bait to make them bite. Quote
