The “zero adjust” is a cast control just like any other reel in the past quarter century, it’s not some special mechanism, it’s just marketing speak for setting it to where the spool has a tiny bit of side to side play.

I know what zero adjust is. I have multiple reels with It. Thank you though.

Ok, I must be missing something, this indicates you didn’t know what it is (not trying to be argumentative). Anyway good luck with the reel, I’m sure it’ll be up to the task, I recently picked up a standard tat 100 for my chatter rod, very satisfied with it.

The statement was that I noticed <after the trade I’ll add> that this one doesn’t have the zero adjust knob like the sv103 on the daiwa website. Which I followed up with wondering if It was an older model, despite the fact that the person said they bought It about 4 months ago.

Yep this one is the older model. Kinda blows.

It’ll still be fine I’m sure. Just could have gotten the new model for $160 or the 150 for $138. Instead I traded for the old model lol. Fml

Where did you see the 150 for $138?

I’ll give It some time and If I don’t end up liking It I’ll sell It and a new Fuego CT I still have put away and get a 150.

I actually prefer the older model over the newer model.   You should give it a go.   You won’t be disappointed.   I got rid of my newer model in favor of the old ones.

It’s funny you say that, when I was shopping for the Tat SV one of the workers at my favorite local shop tried steering me towards the older model. In the end I wound up getting a Tatula 80?

Ok I got you. I knew that about aluminum vs brass when It comes to US vs JDM. Just didn’t know It was called a G. The person is on this forum and must be mistaken on which one he got.

It was me. I ordered a Zillion SV. I didn’t realize the JDM model didn’t have the G in the name.

Just my $0.02 on couple of things.

You have the 2017 Tatula SV.  Awesome reel and a lot of people prefer it over the smaller 2020 version.  I still have couple and love them.  It was my favorite reel until I got the Zillion SVs.

I have Zillion SVs, Tatula SVs, and Elites but still prefer my Tatula 150 on my chatterbait rod.  I just like the feel and power of the 150 when using chatterbaits/spinnerbaits etc.

See how you like the Tat SV and determine if it fits your style of fishing chatterbaits.  I sold multiple SVs to my friend and he uses it for everything.  He loves it.

Those that have the JDM Zillion SV, do you think it would be a good Chatterbait reel? $220 is a really good price

I don’t personally think so for me but I’m sure people do without any issues.

Went ahead and ordered the 150 in 6.3 gear ratio for the chatter bait rod. Not that I don’t like the SV in any way, I like It a lot. So I’m going to move It a spinnerbait setup I have on a falcon head turner. That rod currently has a regular Tatula CT 6.3. I’m going to sell that one. Upgrades all around.

If anyone wants a new Fuego 8.1 or a great condition Tatula CT 6.3 pm me.
