68* In Memphis. Clear skies, light breeze and low humidity. We have the PGA here for

the FedEx - St. Jude tournament and lots of fans in town for Elvis Week!

Looking forward to air temps when I’m out tomorrow am. Probably right under 60 degrees.

It's  uncharacteristically October like here in North Carolina.  It's 65 this morning and a high in the low 80's. The humidity is only 55%. ?

We have kind of a little cool front here. Temps in the high 80s, less humidity. It’s been cloudy for 3 straight days, which is highly unusual for august here…

Here in Southeast VA it looks like temps in the mid 60s overnight and low to mid 80s in the afternoon with a 6-8mph breeze for the whole week. I ordered some War Eagle finesse spinnerbaits yesterday that will get a workout. I’ve never tried these “finesse” spinnerbaits, but you guys kept talking about them so……..

I got all sweaty just hooking my boat up this morning, felt just like the last 45 days

according to the weather report on radio commercial breaks I should have been wearing wool sweaters and hats. I think they just need something different to say

Air temperature was 49 degrees at 5 am this morning according to my truck. It’s nice to walk outside in the morning and not be hit by a wall of sticky air, but I’m always amazed how quickly the air temps in the 40s arrive in late summer. Last week we had a 99 degree day.

The forecast here the next 7-10 days looks very comfortable too. Mostly mid to upper 70’s. I think the steamy humid gross days of summer are behind us.

Funny cuz it's been unusually cool for the last few months.

The steamy weather here really amps up in September. First and second football games of the year are everyone’s hottest memories

Today is the last day of summer and it's going out with a blast: 100* and a new record!

Tomorrow 88 and 82 on Friday. Rain on Sunday and then 80s.  Woo-hoo! Autumn

is almost here.

I’d say it’s about 1.5 months out yet

Well, what is important is that the water temperature on my part of the

Tennessee River has dropped to 69.5 and that means SMALLMOUTH

SEASON is here!

It probably takes a week or more for your water to reach the Pickwick Dam. That's  a lot

of time to cool off.

Yep. And pickwick dam is at least 80 feet tall so the water coming out of the bottom is cooler. I bet it’s 80+ degrees on the top side of pickwick dam

You may be right, but I am done with the lake until next spring. As a river rat, this is my

My water was 84.5 degrees yesterday, hotter than it's been in 7-10days ?

I'm trying to plan a trip and hire a guide mid to late October up there, my best days fishing below the dams for bigger Smallies were always in October.

TVA waters are just loaded with fish, all types too.   Can't wait to fish it again!
