I've fished with a bunch of local members and a few not local members as well as met a bunch others. Made some good friends locally through the forum.

The best thing about a forum of like minded people is that a friend can be made just by exchanging ideas and experiences and more importantly earning and showing respect.

Granted very few know anything about one’s personal life, but I feel like there are some on here who I’d consider a friend even tho we’ve never met.

I used to fish with a few people from here and a few more from local fishing forum. They were great some I fish with more than once. We exchanged experience tip and techniques. My 3-400 acres lake (Canyon Lake) pretty well known and a myth to have big fish and easy to catch.
Too bad fishing now is not my primary, and I only fish short hours. One of my day off is for the wife and another for Golf, luckily I can access to the lake 24/7 and I only want 1-2 fish per trip.

I would love to, but haven’t been able to yet. Unsurprising, considering SW Ohio isn’t exactly a bass fishing Mecca (most people who fish here tend to target Catfish or Crappie).

That, combined with the relative difficulty of finding truly great bass fishing water (people tend to be very protective of their areas, as there aren’t many around here with great quality bass) has made me believe it will probably never happen unless I travel.

one day.  I'll put a couple of cases of Sonoma and Napa county wines in the back of the truck and start driving to make forum friends.

nothing like breaking bread and drinking wine to make it alright.  putting holes in bass mouths doesn't suck either.

This bilingual redneck has an affinity for all things Napa Cab! (Especially with some manchego cheese and a SF sourdough)

@flatcreek and I have fished some tournaments together. Good guy. I'm hoping we fish again when the temperatures cool down and I don't have to work every day.

I’ll bring the bass boat down to the

lodge in September.

I’m new to the forum so I haven’t met anyone in person but I have met up with people that I met on a fishing Facebook group before. With that said, if anyone is from the Western burbs of Chicago, I’d be down to do some local fishing!

I'm down, I'm in West Burbs as well.

I have not been fortunate enough to fish with anyone from BR yet, but there are definitely quite a few people here I would love to fish with. We have an incredible and welcoming community here with an unbelievable wealth of knowledge. I am humbled every time I read about someone's success and what they're doing to achieve it.

If any of you make it to Orlando, I'd be happy to beat the banks with you. :)

Would love to meet and fish some tournaments with people on here. Unfortunately seems very northern influenced.

I'm well south of you! I do fish kayak tournaments. I'd like go fish Squaw Creek this winter.
