I pretty much live and die with these two for bottom presentations during the summer as I like to maintain contact with the bottom. I like the C-Rig for fishing vegetation using a tungsten weight (it seems to come through it easier than bulky brass), but I prefer the larger size of a lead, over a tungsten, football jig.  They just seem to walk over the rocky bottom better that the smaller tungsten ones do.

Your thoughts.

I don't know much about the Carolina rig... I don't use it much but on the footballs...... I bought 3-4 different kinds of tungsten footballs thinking I might get a little more sensitivity .... this has all been in chunk rock and I really can't tell a difference except price.... save your money. These were all fished on a Kistler Z Bone and a Loomis NXS so can't blame the rods. Ymmv.

The "tiny jig" (Keitech) is a go to 6 of the 8 fishable months we have up here.  Carolina Rig as well.  Speedcraws and flukes.

I prefer an Arkie head over a football, but the jig has been putting fish in the boat at night lately. Weeds are dying back and I'm finding more fish relating to rock structure in 6'-12'. A paddletail slow rolled along the bottom has been getting it done too. Bass and eyes both love that thing.
