Big Fish Rice Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I have put together a video of my family's jon boat to bass boat conversion. It's been awhile since I was told it "could not" be done by some members here. Here's my proof otherwise Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted September 1, 2010 Super User Posted September 1, 2010 Looks nice. Really good fabrication on it. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted September 1, 2010 Super User Posted September 1, 2010 Beautiful work. I like that you kept the interior relatively simple. Is she stable with just one guy on the front deck? Quote

X2 My only concern would be stability with my full-figured carcass on the front without some ballast in back. Great job, and nice video. 8-) Quote

JF, It's actually more stable than one would think. The only "hairy" situation I've had is when a ski boat came feet from the boat with a large wake. I got off the deck when I saw those "rolls" coming in ;D Quote
bassman018 Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 wow super great work on the aluminum, does the aluminum get slippery when wet, and does it get hot in the summer. also the front hatches were very nice, I probably would have put in more compartments because I'm a organization freak. The aluminum is not slippery at all due to the bedliner material that we used (Herculiner). It does get warm, but I'm never barefoot. With a project like this, more compartments would be nice, but weight is a big factor. Afterall, it's only 15.5' long. Thanks for the comments guys, we appreciate the kind words! Quote

Especially if you're shallow. Congrats, now slime that baby up! Quote
Super User Dan: Posted September 7, 2010 Super User Posted September 7, 2010 awesome job! It looks fantastic. I can tell you both paid extreme attention to detail. Those rivet tools are pretty sweet! I wish I had something like that when I recently resealed my rivets! Quote
