I upgraded my Ned Rig rod last night. My fiancee asked me why I needed to do that this year since I won't be fishing for much longer. I asked why she thinks I won't be fishing for much longer. She said because it's August. Me for the next hour explaining why she's simply insane to think this and that the best 3-4 months of the year are coming.

After 3 years this is even more appalling.

Also unbearable at times.

But… we can’t live without them and they can’t pee standing up.

I thought this was going to take a much darker turn.  Glad she was just confused

The title reminded me of that old joke about Mickey and Minnie getting divorced.

I bought one years ago thinking it a thoughtful gift for fishing trips.  Apparently,  I was wrong.  Never was used.   I still keep one eye out for places on the bank .....for future reference.

Two summers ago my 8yo (she was 6 then) had to poop really bad so I put the boat as close to shore as possible to get her on the bank to do her business. Every time we're at that lake now we look for the flower she helped grow.

You trying to explain something to her for an hour is goofy, and useless...

Men and women are different, and that's a good thing.

i am pretty sure a non fishing Male would have the same thought.

it isnt gender specific.  she only spoke up because she is in your life.  your purchases do affect her even if it is miniscule.    i'm Cinderella in my house, which buy me a lot of latitude.  :)

Women not worth being around, yes. Any woman using that language has purple hair, hairy armpits, and isn't interested in my side of the fence anyways.

Luckily mine is just a blonde who has watched me freeze in late fall and winter and thought that I wouldn't want to do it again, but I'll always keep doing it again.

The only thing that confuses me more than fish is women, and that's a well-defended title.

My wife saw me receive a package from Amazon.  I opened it and her comment was oh, more new fishing junk.  I informed her that 7 inch Senkos in Junebug were not only not junk, but becoming rare, also I wasn't really not buying new lures, because I was simply replacing the ones the little bass tore up on my last trip.

She then asked why I use them if little bass are just going to rip them apart.  My reply was because they were also catching big bass and I almost ran out of them, so I had to order extra over the amount I lost because I never wanted to have to worry about running out ever again.

She had two questions to that answer.  Number one.  Do you ever worry about running out of money, or just fishing tackle?  Number two.  If they are the only lure that will catch the big bass, than why do I have so many other lures?  She then pointed at all my other baits and in her no it all voice said, if I ran out of the Senko's, and was such a poor fisherman I couldn't catch a big bass with all the other junk sitting in the corner, than why don't I just come home and do some work around the house.

Short answer.  Yes they are goofy.

Oh Ya.  Maybe the only lure you need to have is a spinnerbait haha.
