I've been using a now 10 year old ultralight windows laptop and occasionally my Android phone. I'm thinking of retiring the laptop before it does one day and getting either another laptop or trying a tablet of some sort, leaning towards a Samsung Galaxy, either s8 or s8+. I find typing on the phone slow, maybe cause I'm pretty old and didn't grow up with one glued to my hand so I want something bigger.

I'm also considering an Ipad but the last Apple product I used was a Mac II when they 1st came out, so it's been a long time, plus my phone is an Android.

So what do you use, and are you happy with it? I'm trying to find out if a tablet works as a primary device, spreadsheets, printing, storing pics and music, but mostly the internet. No game playing.

I use an iPad, iMac and occasionally an iPhone to access the site.  Apple products are pricey but work great.

I mainly use an upgraded Macbook Pro built in 2012 or iPhone 11, I have a Chromebook as well that does good just for browsing.

Four devices

6 year old Power-Spec Desktop running Windows 7-Pro

12 year old HP Mini-110 Netbook running Windows 7-Pro

4 year old 8" Galaxy Tab-A

2 year old Galaxy A-51 phone.

I have no plans on moving away from Win-7 - so I maintain my desktop and netbook...just got a new battery for the Netbook last month in fact.

My two Galaxy items are solid, dependable, and easy to use.

I run Firefox on all four, and have a Mozilla account that syncs my bookmarks and logins across them.

I either use an Apple Mac book or an apple tablet most of the time.  I rarely use my phone.  The screen is just too small and I generally don't have time to browse when I'm out and about.

Numerous devices. As a geek, I was managing editor of an Apple-centric

site prior to COVID which then resulted in 2 years at Lowe's. Now I'm back

in the IT field and loving it.

So my MacBook Pro has a busted screen, so I don't use it much. The iMac

is offline due to carpet install in what will be my wife's office since she's

going back to school for NP.  My eldest sister gifted me a (retired) 2015 ASUS

laptop that I use the majority of the time now. Windows 10. Pretty used

to it. Still like many things on the Mac better, but Windows does a lot well,

too.

Switched from iPhone to Android years back because we couldn't afford

to upgrade to iPhones when we could get 2 for 1 Androids. So I haven't

looked back since.

No problems with this site on any of the platforms (also converted old

MacBook Pro to a Chromebook). Browse and post just fine on all.

I would think that it's Keri's chair...you're the one doing coffee refills while she 'controls the world'. ;)

Can't be as there isn't a single monitor on BassResource. Out of 34 available screens not a one contains ANY fishing. Nice try...

Thanks all, seems like folks use pretty much everything without issue. Going to look into a tablet.

Laptop. I dislike using my phone on any forum, especially for reading longer posts. It just isn't conducive, IMO, and I think it explains why many responses are disjointed. It's just too easy to blow through a post by speed scrolling, so it makes sense why points might be missed or misunderstood.
