atanger Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Can anybody share their experiences with using a fishfinder from shore, Hummingbird makes a couple of models that sound really interesting? Quote
MattinOK Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 If your talking about the smart cast, (clips on your rod); it has the resolution of an Atari. There really aren't any great shorebound fishfinders. I guess this is the best one I've seen. http://www.amazon.com/NorCross-HawkEye-F33P-Fish-Finder/dp/B000BV6B6K/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1282848006&sr=8-3-spell Nice price too. Quote
zerofivenismo Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Used the HB Smartcast FF, and I agree with MattinOK about the low quality image. Plus, it's another rod/reel combo that you have to lug around, which is not practical for run-n-gun bassing. More of a gimmick if you ask me. Quote

Super User grimlin Posted August 29, 2010 Super User Posted August 29, 2010 Listen to these guys...I was trying to find one a few years ago and still looking. There really doesn't seem to be one out there yet. I suspect if you do find a good one it's going to cost you some good money. Quote
