Good looking jig with a ugly $8.50 price.

Tom

I know.

I think that price recently went up

because I don't think I paid that.

This one is still pretty steep but it's a little better at least.

Depending on weight & pattern.

To say I fish a jig a lot is an understatement. I've been using Oldham's Screw Lock and Eye Max Jigs for well over 25 years.

I'm not saying the other jigs mentioned aren't any good. In fact I've tried a few here and there but I always come back to Oldham's Jigs.

My attitude is never change a winner.

Excellent price on the Trailer Hitch jigs (which are the screw lock ones you are mentioning?) considering that they come with a 5/0 Gamakatsu flipping hook. Nice looking skirt colors too. Good option for sure

If I can only have 1 jig it would be a molix Kento jig.  It skips a mile, swims great, comes through wood better then any other jig I've used, it comes through grass clean and doesnt have issues with rocks.  The paint on the head takes an absolute beating.  I rarely lose 1 but @4$ they arent costly to replace like other jigs I throw.

This is the best (in my eyes) I could find. Very cost effective too.

BOSS Gary Klein Heavy Cover Flipping Jig, but the name is misleading. The weedguard is not too thick and the hook is stout but not super heavy. Ready for field testing

Just ordered some dredge brush jigs from Seibert last night and they are my preferred jig for all aroudn use.  I do prefer football style for rocks but these work there as well.

Dredge jigs are my favorite.

I'm usually throwing a swim jig, but just put an order with Seibert Outdoors for a couple different jigs and some spinners. Want to expand my jig fishing repertoire

Anyone have a Oldham trailer hitch jig they can take a good picture of the head design? The website image isn't very good

Jig, a hook with a metal head molded on too it.

The hook is the most important and expensive component.

The head is designed not to snag and most important to hook the bass striking it.

If the head design was universal we would only need I design. Just read this thread to understand a universal head design doesn't exist. Siebert Outdoors offers several designs, not 1 is universal. You can trade off several jig elements but never the hook.

I credit all the giant bass that I caught on the jig of my design....why the hook was upright and extremely sharp sticking in the basses mouth tissue long enough for me to detect a strike at over 100’ away, these bass basically hooked themselves giving me a chance to finish the hook set.

I can't say enough good things about the Siebert Dock Rocker. I have more confidence throwing it than I do with any other lure I throw.

Ordered some Oldham trailer hitch jigs in 1/2, 3/4.  Hoping they cover most of the bases. I fish a lot of steep bluff walls, but they have some wood too. Footballs work great for the rock but hang up too much on wood for me. It's been rough finding a 3/4 jig that isn't a more grass jig or football. The call to place order with Oldham jigs was refreshing. It's cool to get to talk with the jig maker about jigs.

None.

The Arkie style (I prefer the SK Structure Jig, but also use Arkie brand sometimes) are pretty close.  But they still get hung up in rocks too often for me to want to throw them around small boulders and large rocks.  And they don't come through thick weeds as well as a swim jig.  But they're about as close to an all-rounder as I've come across, and what I throw the most.

X2 on the Juice Jig. I flip it, swim it, skip it. Put a rage menace on that bad boy and you're ready to do some damage! Like @WRB has said, I don't think that there is one perfect jig out there, but my favorite brands that cover just about all of my jigging applications are Outkast and Dirty Jigs. Here is my most recent catch on the Juice:

The thing I really like about Outkast are the horizontal barbs. My trailers seem to stay on alot more than other jigs

Hey ya’ll,

What is your favorite do-all jig? One that you feel comfortable taking into grass, wood, rocks, skipping docks, anything.

Where you are at a suggest you buy some swim jigs. White is a definite then a bluegill color just swim them slowly.

I’ll look into it if I think I’ll be able to get some fishing in before season over. Still healing injury

Thank you sir!
