Starting to put some time in with the Evergreen Grass Ripper Swim Jig.

Impressive.

It starts with a streamlined durably painted head.  Love the line tine position.

Equipped an effective traier keeper system and a 4/0 Gamakatsu hook

but I have @Catt’s voice in my head telling me that the angle of line-tie is not the best for hook-ups.

Nahh ya good ?

The direction of the line tie doesn't effect your jig coming through grass.

Your line's tag end does!

Hack Attack Fluorocarbon Flippin Jig or Terry Oldham's EyeMax Jig

I’m not talking about it coming through grass but thought that the line tie sticking up as it is maybe a 45 degree angle covers up bite of hook when trying to hook fish?

I already knew which two jigs you were going to comment by the way ?

Thank ya

Hard to tell what degree from the picture but compare it to my 2 choices.

Ha!

I just think if you hoppin that jig through some pretty good boulders and it falls into a crack… good luck lol. I guess if I ain’t got any boulders than I don’t have to worry about it.

One more for you, DB structure jig mentioned on this thread, you ever try it?

There isn’t such a thing as a do all jig.

Well, the more I have been looking into this, the more I think you are right. There are some great, versatile head designs though and certainly learned a lot here.

BOSS Predator Jig Head is another that looked good to me. Thought I spied a little flat area on the bottom of head.

Evergreen Grass Ripper looks excellent but do not like skirt color

Otherwise there are several from this thread that are interesting to me. Certainly lots here, thanks y’all

You're right, but let's just imagine our boy is dead broke left to eat only rice and beans for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so he can only afford just one lone jig. What would you recommend?

Tom already gave recommendation of Siebert Dock Rocker looking good or the Divine Hybrid Jig you brought up.

Your comment though, LOL. I learned to cook chicken wings today.

I highly disagree ?

One can flip, pitch, cast, skip, swim, & punch with any jig.

There is no perfect flipping  pitching, casting, skipping, swimming, or punching jig.

Strike king bitsy flip

I actually can’t even argue with that. Doesn’t cover me for a larger profile, but yeah, it’s a great little jig despite not that good skirt or keeper

Hit up the nearest Wally World, grab a $2.50 Strike King Pro Model and a Tour Grade Football jig. Two jigs and 4 Rage Craws for ~$5.

Add a can of Vienna's and a pack of Ramen and you can fish all day and eat lunch for ~$6.50.

i actually got a decent bass yesterday.  i think i casted it directly into it's mouth.  it hit as soon as the bait landed.

Yes you can cast any jig into cover or structure getting it back is the problem. You need a jig designed to be fished in sharp rocky structure, heavy weed mats, buck brush or willows. A football jig is good example or a dart head jig are poor choices.

The jigs suggested are all good suggestions for the OP.

Good looking jig with a ugly $8.50 price.
