Hey ya’ll,

What is your favorite do-all jig? One that you feel comfortable taking into grass, wood, rocks, skipping docks, anything.

Arkie. Specifically, the ones I make. Flat eye Do-It mold.

Just ordered some dredge brush jigs from Seibert last night and they are my preferred jig for all aroudn use.  I do prefer football style for rocks but these work there as well.

Specific jig, please

There are a number of good choices.  The Arkie style I probably use most often is the Dirty Jigs Tour Level Pitchin’ Jig.

A true do all jig is the trashmaster jig. Works as a swim jig or traditional jig.

If I'm only using one jig it will be the 6th Sense Divine Hybrid Jig.

I was literally just about to ask about this jig. How stiff is the weed guard and what size hook?

What rod and line do you use?

I'm not sure of the exact hook size. The weed guard is fairly soft in my opinion. Good for hooking bass and prevents most hangups but I've sometimes been shocked by how easily the jig can bite into wood. I've had a random one sitting on my dresser for awhile lol easy to grab for a pic. (Fiance's demon cat took a bite out of my hand because it's mental)

Pretty big hook but not super heavy.

Flipping style jigs are compact with heavy wire hook, not my favorite for casting and retrieving.

The hybrid looks like it has a standard wire 5/0 or 6/0 hook, it’s not identified other then stout. Head design looks good.

SK Hackney FC jig is a flipping jig with a heavier wire hook.

Siebert Outdoors Dock Rocker jig would be a better choice imo.

The rod and line should work good for casting the jig.

CacthCo's Trashmaster is the BEST jig I've ever used. I don't think I've ever lost one. And it's the best for skipping too. Other than that, I'd just say an Arkie head and a good hook will get 'er done.

Yeah it’s a good looking jig. I think you’re right; I might be worried about it around wood though. Big hook and not that thick a weedguard looks like

Also, this is a jig I feel real good about, looks very similar to Dirty Jigs Pitchin Jig, but I have @Catt’s voice in my head telling me that the angle of line-tie is not the best for hook-ups.

I would not be surprised if y’all have not seen this jig before. I found it in a local tackle shop. It’s an E-factor pitchin jig.

Jigs with horizontal line ties don't play well in heavy weeds. A weed collector really. Depending on head shape, vertical line tie types generally shed them far more effectively, especially when you're fishing them horizontally over distance where they'll dig deeper on the way back.

Thank you for that. I was wondering if there was a difference

Starting to put some time in with the Evergreen Grass Ripper Swim Jig.

Has potential for check the boxes in a few different deals.

Impressive.

It starts with a streamlined durably painted head.  Love the line tine position.

Equipped an effective traier keeper system and a 4/0 Gamakatsu hook
