All those lakes are small enough for me. It’s mainly a fear of the ocean depths. I can be on a boat, but a raft or kayak on the ocean would be out of the question. 1 Quote

Super User Columbia Craw Posted July 30, 2022 Super User Posted July 30, 2022 I’m not afraid of heights. It’s the falling part that bothers me. And I’m with Catt, snakes. Seriously though..... my grandchildren’s futures. That I am scared of. 1 1 Quote

Years ago there was a supposed sighting of one near where I would bank fish a river walking spot to spot along a wooded path. As impossible as it seemed it kept me on edge whenever I was there. And I still look around whenever im in the woods. Quote

I’m not deathly afraid of it but have been able to avoid it for nearly 10 years now. Then my son in Michigan booked us a flight to go there for thanksgiving. I’m already dreading it.? I don't like flying but not because of crashing. The entire airport experience should be enough to prevent anyone from flying. The saving grace is the airplane ride. 1 Quote

The degradation of society is what took his father's life. (No sympathy, guy was a POS)The addictive personality in the grandson is blatantly obvious. Doesn't help that the kid is an alpha male, and probably suffers from ADD or ADHD. He's on 100% max speed, 100% of the time. I can only hope my influence steers the addiction gene to to something positive. Kid loves to fish...but I question sometimes whether it's the fishing or just loves to spend his time with papa. I'm probably overthinking this. Took him to bass fish Sturgeon Bay...Not seriously, but I brought the net with because, you never know. He was more interested in netting fish than reeling them in. Would have been fine except, none of the fish were networthy. If I had the energy of a 20 year old, I could handle a 5 year old with no problems. I'm not 20 and this kid wears me out. Take care of those grandkids now. You could be the difference. 2 Quote

The going through the checkpoint thing is especially unpleasant. Since I rarely fly , I’m not sure of what all’s changed in the way they do it since last time. I am not a fast thinker either, which doesn’t help… I’m way out of my element at an airport. Always nervous that I forgot that I had one of my pocketknives on me or something. Im better off on the water or in the woods for sure… Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 1, 2022 Global Moderator Posted August 1, 2022 Heights, I can't even look up at tall buildings without my legs getting wobbly. Bears, they eat their prey alive and like to hunt around the water. Something that big shouldn't be able to be that fast and quiet either. Quote
Randy Price Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 I'm afraid of dolls. My younger sister had one when we were both small and I swear that thing was possessed. It was either battery or pull string operated and sometimes in the middle of the night it would just start talking. I'm 58 and still can't stay in a room with dolls. Glad to read I'm not the only one! Quote
