I don’t like flying. I’m not deathly afraid of it but have been able to avoid it for nearly 10 years now.

Then my son in Michigan booked us a flight to go there for thanksgiving. I’m already dreading it.?

Spiders inside the house.  Outside they don't bother me.

Heights, until I am sure that I won't fall.

Not being able to retire.

Me and heights have an odd relationship. I never had an issue climbing trees as a kid. Back when I did roofing single story houses up to a 5/12 pitch were fine but don’t go to the edge. Two story house wasn’t a big fan of. When we did siding, 10-12’ no big deal, above that climbing and extension ladder from the wobbly middle and up didn’t like it one bit. I did it was was super slow above the middle. No issues looking out the windows of big buildings, no issues flying.

The big thing I do not like is change. I am a creature of habit and I’m not a big fan of venturing outside my comfort zone. I try not to hate because it uses too much energy but I do hate change.

I saw you had a Miller Lite the other day! Boy, that’s a huge change and lots of progress!

Sharks !

Wife can drive off a boat in the middle of the Ocean while I sit there sucking my thumb...... it's actually embarrassing.

Fishing related…

*Lightening in big water

*Hitting rocks on plane

*Running into another boat in a narrow boat lane surrounded by tall reeds.

(All 3 have happened over the years)

I change it up from time to time, just look at the “who’s drinking thread” the proof is there. Baby steps. ?

I do! Don’t post there a lot though. I tried Miller High Life because of TnRiver and discovered I can get 18 bottles at Walmart for freaking $12 so that is my “Miller Time” from one Miller drinker to another ?

I like stouts. Never had Murphy’s though. I’ll have to look around for it.  Heck I like most beers. The only things that I am more nervous to try are sours and ciders.

I like Miller Lite and I like pickles so it’s safe to say I’m full of p**s and vinegar! ?

Its pretty awful IMO too.  There are significantly better options just in the domestic light beer realm...albeit at a higher cost.

Going blind

Collapse of society

Being eaten alive

A planet killer meteor hitting the Earth

So I guess fishing Ontario and Erie are out of the question...

Is Oneida small enough for you?

Someone watched Talladega Nights one too many times…

Had a very sketchy black bear experience that moved bears to the top of my list. Sitting with time to think if the bear were to attack I’d have no real chance of fighting it off other than it deciding I wasn’t worth the effort isn’t a great feeling.

Not sure if it’s legitimately different, but I feel a fear of ladders should be categorized differently than a fear of heights. I’ve climbed up rock outcroppings hanging over 2000+ dropoffs with no issue, but 4’ up an A-frame ladder and I’m  nervous if I don’t have 3 points of contact. But I can climb up a lean-to ladder all day.

Guess this thread just made me realize what my most irrational fear is. A-frame ladders.

I was the same way for a long time.

Then I watched this video and it took all the 'mystery' out of it.

Reminds me of an 'incident' when I was in High School.

Party out by the river up in Bemidji...couple of my classmates went off to 'enjoy' themselves. Guess where they both got poison ivy rashes... OUCH. They were both walking funny for a couple weeks.

Thanks for posting that video, A-Jay.  Very helpful! I'll still try to avoid it. But this is good info just in case.
