I am getting the itch to look at new rods. I was thinking about about a Gary Loomis Edge Black widow Drop shot rod but it sounds like it's impossible to find in stock at the stores and you have to order through the website. Anyone have any experience with this rod?

I can’t help with personal experience but generally I have heard pretty good things about the rods…not so much about the customer service.  When I looked at them, there just didn’t seem to be much info out there, so I never pulled the trigger.

I use a 6101-1 DSR. It's a great, fun rod to use. I have an Aldebaran BFS reel on it and run 2 spools. One has 8lb. Tatsu on it the other 6lb. McCoy Extra Clear. I throw about any light presentation on it. Cranks, spinnerbaits, small paddletails, finesse worms, finesse jigs, etc., etc.. Brian.

Yah that's the conclusion that I came to. The lack of response from customer service will probably be enough to scare me away. Thanks for your comments.
