Well, my wife has gone through the radiation treatment. Now the Doc's are exploring the options on how best to treat her. She saw a Spinal surgeon, and 3 other specialist's, so now we are waiting on their decision.

Dee, is so tried that she sleeps a lot, which I hope is a good  thing. She is eating o.k. and does try  to do some simple and easy chores around the house.

Not gonna lie, this has been Very stressful for both of us.

Once again Thanks to all of you guys that have sent prayers and well wishes.

Once again, I try not to speak for everyone, but we are thinking of you and wishing you and your wife the best. If even only through typed words on a fishing forum, one can have sympathy and truly care about someone they interact with.

Keep us updated and we hope for nothing but the best.

Good mojo and prayers heading your way.
My wife had a similar situation, I would never tell you I know how ya feel, but I understand. I felt so lost and disoriented, I didn’t want to wait for answers, I wanted them NOW!

I felt helpless, but at the same time I had to be positive for my wife.

Reach out if ya need too, even if it’s just to chat.

As an update, again. Dee went Thursday for her consultation. But the Doc's decided with the pain, ect, that they wanted to keep her, to help reduce the pain. Anyway, last night she got her first dose of Chemo, and as of right now when I talked to her on the phone, she sounds Much better. She is due to be discharged today, and will get a script for chemo pills. Just waiting for the Doc's to release her.

Once again, Thank you all for the prayers, and good wishes, it really helps a bunch.

Thanks Andy. Matter of fact, I'm the one who almost preaches to Dee, that staying strong has a lot of benefits to getting well. I must admit, these are trying times for me as well, but with all the support from you folks as well as friends and family, my stress level has come way down. Thanks again all.

Just tell her she's got this and you are going to fight with her side by side through it all. Be her rock and encourage her. We are all sending you our best. Not a day goes by that I don't see this thread and think about y'all, and I am sure there are others who feel the same.

Welp, Dee is back home, after her 3 day stay at the hospital. She looks, and sounds Much better. She wound up with a small shopping bag full of things she needs to take.

One thing I told her was, Do Not exert yourself, I'll do whatever needs to be done, she looked at me and just kinda smiled. It's great having her home, she has a long hard road ahead, together we can beat this thing.

God Bless all of you..

So, this morning at 6 am, the ambulance showed up as Dee was in major pain. Turns out she has a perforated intestine, from all the chemo. She is going into surgery in about 10 mins.

to repair it.

The scary part: This is a very Risky surgery for her. I'm not scared of a lot of things, but this has me scared, but I'm trying my best to stay strong, and I'm doing a ton of praying.
