I don't bother on forums much anymore for reasons such as this.  Facebook is a lot better imo.

Why can't I post a pic bigger then 1.46mb?

Might want to check the FAQ's.  Just a thought.

I've been looking for the last 45 mins where something like that would be posted and still don't see it.

That is what I used the everything section.

I figured it was posted somewhere but it's not easy to figure out where.

It took 12 seconds for me to find, copy, and past it here:

I can't post a picture. It says the size is too large.
You need to use a photo editing program like Adobe Photoshop, or whatever your computer comes with, and go to resize image. You may want to crop it for your avatar. Once you do that you can post any picture.

You can also use Pic Resize (https://www.picresize.com/)  You just need to locate the picture on your PC, and it's simple from there.

For mobile devices, get the app Image Shrink Lite for Android and iOS.

Basically it boils down to one thing.

This is a private forum, owned by Glenn - and despite monetary input from sponsors he still has to dig into his own pocket to pay for things like storage capacity and bandwidth.

He's not a big company like FB, Twitter, Instagram, etc - he's one man, running probably the best fishing forum on the Net...some lines have to be drawn.

I think he's more questioning why there's a size limit - not how to get the pic under that limit.

What I do is take a pic with the phone and email it to myself. That process reduces it automatically. Then, I save it to my phone or laptop and then attach to the post.

I can edit pictures on my Galaxy - resizing them appropriately without having to use part of my limited data quota for the e-mail...can even just save a copy so I have the original size still available.
