I'm new to bass fishing all together and I cannot find information anywhere on how to set up my rod.  My previous fishing experience starts and ends at trout fishing where typically I would use some sort of slip sinker weight on the line above my swivel.  I'm just trying to figure out if I should do the same for this rod? my intention is to use this for small finesse swimbaits.

You have many options and your idea might work as well as any others.  I suspect most here won't have a swivel and will use some sort of weighted head/hook....like a ball head or other small 'jig'.  You can use belly-weighted hooks and you can Texas rig with a sliding weight.  I haven't tried a swimbait with splitshot, but I bet it would work well.  Make sure your hook has enough gap to get good hooksets.

@QUAKEnSHAKEI already have these set up I'm just not sure what to do with everything above the lure are you just supposed to tie your lure to the line? I'm used to using a swivel and tying leads to quickly switch out my hooks and such. Is this not the case with bass fishing
