I'll be on vacation starting this Friday, July 15th and will be trying a new - to me - technique of 3-way bucktailing for stripers.

Last Saturday I found some Mackerel schools, but I wasn't rigged for stripers, we were mainly ground fishing. I'm looking to go back to those spots on vacation to try my luck. I'm not hearing much from the locals, although I hear the Piscataqua River up to Wells has been on fire lately.

If any Mainers or anglers fishing southern Maine and NH fishing for stripers, let me know how your doing?

I know they keep quiet about it, to keep all the yahoos down in mass and jersey

I'm not sure that's totally true, although there still are those anglers with an old school mentality about giving up reports. I'm sure the guides do the same, but I respect that.

We have a pretty good crowd of recreation anglers in the K-Port area who share reports from striper/blue to ground fishing.

I guess if you don't want to share, then don't.

@Bluebasser86 recently got one but the key is to leave the line unattended while you do your business in the men's room.
