Not a whole lot so far that fits me personally, but those new SLX rods will be one to check out. With the new swimbait models, it looks like they're gunning even harder to occupy the space the Fury used to at that 99-109 price point.

I've bought a lot of Dobyns Fury rods, should I be looking at SLX rods for future purchases? or are the Fury's still better?

Guess I'm not on their PR list.  I don't have that info. Go ahead and post them (and PM their PR contact).

Thanks Glenn.  I’ll pm you the pr contact.

All-new 3” Zako is in response to demand from our pros and our customers. As many anglers start utilizing smaller bladed jigs, they asked us to make their favorite trailer in a smaller size. It maintains all the qualities that make the original the industry standard, just in a new fish-catching size.

The all-new Speed Senko is sure to be your new favorite worm for covering water. Designed at the request of our pro’s, the Speed Senko is the ultimate worm for fishing grass and brush. It’s thumping tail feels like a Colorado coming through the water and makes it easy for bass to zero in on it in grass, laydowns, brushpiles or any other cover. Try Texas rigging it with a light weight and swimming it over grass. Or Texas rigged with a lift and drop retrieve in and around cover. This is one the fish will find, so you better find you some too!

Utilizing the shape of the Shad Shape Worm, but pairing with our new “Mega Floater Formula”, we are really excited about the new 5” Shad Shape Worm! This new version floats, which makes it absolute MONEY on a drop shot when you want a bigger profile bait. It is also incredible on a scrounger head! The profile and action make it an awesome baitfish imitator that will fool fish no matter how clear the water or how you rig it. Largemouth, Smallmouth and Spots will all be suckers for the 5” Shad Shape Worm!

The all new Slinko is unlike anything in our product line. First, the ribbed shape body allows for bulk while maintaining the classic Senko profile. The ribs not only make for great hooksets, they put off bubbles to give a more lifelike presentation. The most important aspect of the Slinko is its construction from our new Mega Floater Formula. It stands up on a jighead, dances vertically on Neko rig, and floats on a Carolina Rig. Although new, it has the unmatched action that you would expect to get only from Yamamoto Baits!

Videos of all of the new baits are available on Yamamoto’s Facebook page. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjR36fuxor5AhXMFFkFHcFHDNQQFnoECBEQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fyamamotobaits%2F&usg=AOvVaw35x9-xBEzp6qeFQQ7d8yo9

I will get some stills of the baits as soon as they are available.

Here are some of the pics.  I missed a new 3 inch Shad Shape Worm now being offered.

I do own both SLX and Fury, but my only Fury is a 705CB so it's not apples to apples. They're both great rods, I don't think the Fury is $30 better but it does have far more options within its lineup than SLX has. I like the action of the Dobyns CB rods over the SLX glass rods, though. 10/10 worth the $30 difference there.

Was it so much to ask for a rattling TRD or Tickler that isnt made by Googan? Really feel like this is a miss in the NED market, I easily pull more with a rattle than non rattle...they just last 2 fish at best.

Asked that on Zman's IG and they replied it was in their micro's but there is zero mention of a rattle on their page or anywhere else I can find. Either way its not a standard TRD/Tickler.

Apparently Daiwa and Shimano both had the same idea since Shimano redid the SLX rods (also at the $99 price point). If those SLX combos are still a thing, Daiwa should sell a Tatula combo. Something like a Tatula CT and a Tatula XT for $175 or $200.

I'd buy a million of those. The Tatula XT rods look fantastic, can't wait to pick up a couple.

I've made my own by ripping the rattler off an old Strike King Pro Jig, taking the TRD and baiting the hook where I want to insert the rattle. Back the hook out, ram that rattle inside your TRD and go. Grab the TRD like a kid by it's collar and pull over the rattle as you push it in.

The new Abu gear looks like it could be a winner

Yeah, almost bought the rocket low pro when Amazon had em for $169. Glad I held out for the new gen. The Winch looks good too at the other end of the retrieve ratio spectrum.

Interesting that the Revo X is a graphite frame, other reels at that price point are aluminum.

Even more interesting is the fact that Abu and Ark both went with an asymmetric design, I understand why, but visually it drives me crazy. I wonder if they’re being made in the same factory.

Not sure if NFC is selling the carbon grips with color woven in, but those and the new seats look sharp in the advertising. The boss lady brought it to my attention. ;)

d**n my cart is full as it is.

They have the grips on the site

I hope they have some rod sizes I need in the Epitome series ?

So disappointing about the Revo X being Graphite. I love the current Revo X in just about every way but the side plate. I knew they would upgrade in the next gen but graphite is a downgrade in my opinion. I also prefer the murdered out all black look of the previous gen. I might have to buy some of the them when they go on clearance

Will pick one of these up. $42.99 is not too bad IMO for a swimbait.

With so many offerings, TBH I only care about which would be available now or soon, before the fishing season is over.

Interesting that the Shimano Stella FK was selected as Best Freshwater Reel for ICAST 2022 Best of Show.  It was released quite a few months ago so most of the buzz should have already happened.  At tech trade shows, we try to align new product introductions with the trade show event date(s) so that it is net new product information.  Apple is notoriously secretive and does not tend to pre-announce anything.

When will those Slinko's hit shelves?

I love GYCB but....If your in a hurry, Geecrack offers a bait that is almost identical. It can be hard to come by but it has been really good for me.

The regular Senko is still my go to. I think it gets more bites than any worm I use. It could be a confidence thing though.

Agreed - considering how well Senkos work, it will be difficult to improve upon their efficacy.  That said, I wish GYCB the best of luck in coming up with a better mousetrap.
