Big-Bass Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 There hasn't been much out there regarding ICast 2022 with 2023 products. What have you heard and/or what info do you have? Please place here? Thank you and best wishes on the water! Quote
Super User Log Catcher Posted July 3, 2022 Super User Posted July 3, 2022 I saw a video not too long ago abut a new product coming out. I honestly don't remember what it was. They did say there would not be an ICAST show this year. Quote
Big-Bass Posted July 3, 2022 Author Posted July 3, 2022 Well that stinks...much like an old Bass Pro Catalog...the ICast show was the online tackle drool of the next year! Quote
TNBankFishing Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 Considering how attendance has dropped and vendors have pulled out of the show I wouldn’t be surprised if it folds. Watch coverage of 2019 and compare it to last year. A third of the floor was empty and most manufacturers releases their new product teasers weeks or a month in advance. Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted July 3, 2022 Super User Posted July 3, 2022 I've been getting almost daily emails featuring new ICAST product releases. Nothing has really impressed me so far, though I am curious to see all the shapes available in the new Zman micro series of baits for panfish. 4 Quote

We've been in a world wide pandemic since ICAST 2019, hopefully things will pick back up this year. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted July 3, 2022 BassResource.com Administrator Posted July 3, 2022 Yes, there is an ICAST show this year. Same place as always - steamy Orlando in July. There's been a number of releases already: https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/st-croix-x-trek-63022.html https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/fishlab-nature-series-62922.html https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/fishlab-bio-shad-gizzard-62922.html https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/fishlab-bio-shad-62922.html https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/fishlab-bbz-bio-rat-62922.html https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/mustad-lok-hook-62122.html There's been more, but I don't report on new colors or sizes of stuff that's already on the market. That said, I'm used to seeing a lot more by now. So it is subdued, mainly due to supply-chain issues. Companies don't want to launch products they're not sure they can deliver. 3 1 Quote
Reel Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 I don't know if it can be considered an I Cast release, but I like the Shimano World Minnow. Looking forward to using one. Quote
Super User Deleted account Posted July 3, 2022 Super User Posted July 3, 2022 How many Best in Show ducklings, tarantulas, and bats can you debut before you get treated like the kid crying wolf. 2 Quote
Super User T-Billy Posted July 3, 2022 Super User Posted July 3, 2022 Do-it sent me a teaser e-mail the other day. They're introducing a new soft bait mold called the Katana Craw. Based on the e-mail pics, I believe I'll be ordering a mold if it's offered in a 3.5" or smaller size. Looks like a dandy piece of smallmouth candy. Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted July 3, 2022 Global Moderator Posted July 3, 2022 I wonder if the mythical Power Pole trolling motor will be unveiled? There have been some pictures of this unicorn floating around. Quote
JS8588 Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 Penn has a new spinning reel out called the Authority that I'm pretty jazzed about. Rumor is Daiwa will be releasing a 500 sized Lexa TW which means I'll finally have a worthy reel for my XH Legend Trek. ? Quote

It a heavy water proof reel. It almost looks like they just took the slammer design and made some small changes to it. I thought they would have used SS for the main/pinion but I'm pretty sure I heard it was bronze/brass. Quote
Super User webertime Posted July 4, 2022 Super User Posted July 4, 2022 Berkley has a bunch of new baits. Including a chatterbait. 3 Quote

Better sealed than the Slammer. It's replacing the Torque in their lineup. Quote

Tatulatard Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 I'm seeing more of these stumps for grips on rods. Are they meant just for angler that palm the reel when casting? A normal cast would have you holding the blank. Quote
