I would ignore what @Bird says. You think a guy that is too lazy to mow his grass is going reseal a driveway. LOL.

No kidding. I should have known!

? Had a feeling that was coming.

Mowed and weed eated today, that should get me to August ?

Keep up the good work. It has been so hot and dry here I haven't mowed for two weeks now. We are supposed to be getting some rain over the weekend. I can't help @gimruis with his driveway. Mine is concrete.

 @gimruis

Well it's become painfully obvious that yards and driveways should not be a priority nor should it consume our valuable time.

Next question ?

Had my asphalt driveway sealed a couple days ago.  Looks pristine again!

Combined with some good soaking rains lately and some cooler temps, my lawn is turning into a golf course.

man, that looks good!!!

Cement driveways are our norm.    I wonder why some areas go one way and some the other?  hmmm

Concrete driveways cost significantly more, but obviously its a better long term solution.  This house was built in 1998 so I'm sure its not the original driveway.  I would prefer concrete myself but since this one had asphalt that was in good shape, tearing it out and replacing with concrete really made no sense.

My last house was brand new in 2012 and I was the only owner until I sold it in May.  I never had that driveway sealed but in 2016 I had a new 1 inch overlay added.

Asphalt is more common in the north because of the freezing ground during the cold months. It’ll flex and move with the ground and last long than concrete. Plus, it’s usually cheaper.

Concrete does two things

1: hardens

2: cracks

I've received over 3.5 inches of rain in the past 48 hours and there is more on the way today/tomorrow @12poundbass.  I may honestly not have to run my new sprinkler system the rest of the season here.

Hey @Bird, I think its time to spiffy up your property.  Reseal your driveway, mow the lawn, and give it some curb appeal!
