The latest catch thread is definitely my favorite. I like seeing what people are catching, and reading about how they caught them. I have only fished with one member in real life, but through that thread I feel like I've "virtually" fished with many of you.

I also like hearing varied perspectives on fishing. Especially the more experienced members that were catching fish before all of the current tech came about.

Glenn's how to videos are how I found the site, so I have to give a shout to those.

The only thing I don't like about BR is the bait monkey. Gets me all the time. ?

FG Knot Threads

Palomar Knot Threads

Daiwa vs Shimano Threads (especially when a certain members says, "BUY A LEWS!")

Braid to Leader Threads

Most Fanboy Threads

Seriously, there are so many talented and wise people on here from all walks of life that any thread can get interesting in a moments notice. At this point, most threads are a regurgitation of info that has been discussed ad nauseam thru the years but it never gets old.

Tackle, product reviews, and the cover and structure threads are the ones that I pay the most attention to.

I enjoy the philosophical discussions the most.   Is location or lure selection more important?   Is sensitivity all in your head?

I’m fascinated by some of the questions people ask.  Some people spend a lot of time thinking about things that never cross my mind.   Like what’s the best rod for my new reel?

Reminiscing about where this sport came from with the help of @whitwolf @Team9nine @WRB & others.

Trying to keep up with where we're heading.

Fishing Reports, not necessarily for pictures of bass but pictures of this beautiful country!

Bingo!!!  In this day of the need for instant gratification, I love to hear of the evolution of the sport and how we all gleaned from the evolution of the time.
s

I also like to hear about new tackle items.  This sport can be a rabbit hole for your wallet and making sound INFORMED decisions what to invest in is huge.

Finally, BR is a community of folks from all over the country, all walks of life, different cultural backgrounds and views on life.  It’s a place in Everything Else that a member can share tough times or experiences and have us, you, me, give a kind or reassuring word.  That’s very valuable.

Last is any thread on an A-Jay tackle sale!

I like to read most of the posts, but not so much the line/rods/reels threads. I know what works for me, and don’t really need to see more pics of the same old reels/combos etc. I enjoy a lot of the stuff in the “everything else” section. That’s where you get to see a slice of other peoples lives all around the continent, I enjoy seeing how everyone lives/works/plays in the different areas, and it seems like there’s a real “family” kind of thing going on in there.

Oh man I do love me some "everything else" section... It does alot to help me understand the others that actually follow BassResource topics and who I'm "hangin with", which I REALLY appreciate... you don't see a lot of people in there that just found this site off a Google search about "how to tie X Y and Z"...

The General bass fishing forum is also one of my favs, as I have started a thread or two there... I really enjoy hearing other peoples prospectives on general bass fishing topics!

I've tried the different texas specific forums and they just aren't like the BR crowd!

Without a doubt my favorite topics are fishing reports.  Especially reports that give the conditions, equipment used, and some techniques.  I don't care where in the world they are, I love reading this stuff.  I even go onto others sites in far away locations like New Zealand, Australia, Amazon, and South Africa, and follow their local fishing adventures.  Love reading this stuff!

The locked ones are my favorite. Some can be quite comical and I simply crack up whenever I see the GIF of the deer eating popcorn. Love that.

Seriously though, my favorite posts are the ones that discuss bass behavior, discussions about specific baits and how to fish them, and all the old Discussions on how to catch big bass between Catt and Matt Lures, those were legendary.

I like long-form posts from experts in their given field. I have a couple of them bookmarked including @WRBs oldschool horizontal jigging thread.

This.  I like the deep dives into technique.  ESPECIALLY those techniques I am weak at.

Honestly I enjoy the fact that I can keep in touch with the ever changing and evolving world of bass fishing and weed out a lot of the stinkers for the cost of reading a post or article or two. I also enjoy hearing about all the new techniques, and modifications to old techniques, and different ways to approach the sport because it constantly keeps me interested, and provides new territory to explore in my own fishing adventures...of course if I'm being completely honest I also enjoy the threads that take a Jerry Springer turn, because who doesn't like watching a good bit of drama unfold before their very eyes totally unscripted? ?

Sadly, its been a while since we got a good ole "shoulda bought a Lews"

Currently, aside from General Bass Fishing I like the Boating forum. It's kind of slow but I'm interested in people's yak setups mainly.

Tackle - I skim through it. Like others have said it's often the same stuff over and over. I'm just not excited by every new lure that comes out either. Everyone wants my money but my sticks, cranks and other lures do me fine. And I am a very skeptical and cynical person. When I see "New and Improved" I actually read it as "Same ol' junk we think you're dumb enough to buy"

I think the fishing industry is heavy into BS. My BS detector goes off all the time with some of these products.

By the way, what's y'alls favorite lure?

Best thing about this forum is the members!

Apparently, you don't see many threads from "dodgeguy"...?

I know there's not much new to be said, but I rather enjoy the line topics.  It never ceases to amaze me how much of a variety of opinions there are.  And we are only talking about four or five different basic materials.  The fact that in 2022 we can't come close to agreement on something like 'stretch' just amuses the heck out of me....never mind sensitivity.

Color is another, for similar reasons.   I hope we never get definitive answers on how a bass sees and interprets colors.  It is too much fun arguing about what we cannot know or begin to prove.

But, seriously,  I do really enjoy hearing stories from you guys who were doing this successfully decades ago, often right alongside some real legends.  Hearing the evolution (and maybe sometimes devolution) of the sport from you old timers fascinates me.

The pressure campaign worked. I bought a Lews.

One of my favorites was the “ Saw bigfoot “ thread or something like that.

Bigbills contributions were legendary!?

I thread surf until I find an interesting topic. I especially like the southeast thread , even more so when it’s the semi- rare discussion on North florida fishing.

I like the tackle thread, especially when it’s a soft plastic discussion.

General bass fishing and the “other” thread provides  a nice variety.

Fishing reports are one of my favorites too.

I also LOVE hearing how “ one of us” did in a tournament. The whole thing- what baits, kinds of areas, set backs, strategies-all of it.

My favorite topics are anything I can learn from whether it is gear or tackle or technique or location.

I’m always glad to chime in when I can help too. No issue talking about what I already know and am passionate about either.

I don’t really mind the repeated topics too much like line preferences. Even though I have my line preferences in place, it’s always interesting to see what others use.
