Super User Mobasser Posted June 27, 2022 Super User Posted June 27, 2022 I like to read through most of the threads here on BR. Great info, covering all aspects of bass fishing. Certain topics always seem to draw a lot of responses. 1. Lines. Always a hot topic here. 2. Reels. Many different opinions on all brands, and styles. Some " reel" experts here also. 3. Rods. From the least expensive, to the top of the line, they all get covered here. 4. Tackle accessories, coolers, clothing, shoes, tools, and anything else you could think of that pertains to bass fishing. All have been spoken about in depth here at BR. My own favourite threads are on structure, seasonal patterns, and fish location. I've learned things that I couldn't have learned from reading a book, because I'm communicating with some very good structure fisherman, guys who have actually done it. My question is, what are your favourite topics here on BR. What topics have you learned the most from , and what topics do you like to comment on the most? 4 Quote
TriStateBassin106 Posted June 28, 2022 Posted June 28, 2022 Tackle threads, actually better of yet the whole Fishing Tackle section. Some of the guys in there are extremely educated on lures and their knowledge has helped me improve as an angler. Second on the list is Fishing Reports. I love hearing and giving advice to people about bad days on the water, seasonal tips & seeing latest catches etc. 2 Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted June 28, 2022 Super User Posted June 28, 2022 Got to be the best reel or best rod for $XXX. 1 1 Quote
Cbump Posted June 28, 2022 Posted June 28, 2022 I’m a gear junkie so I love the rod, reel, line section. 1 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted June 28, 2022 Super User Posted June 28, 2022 Good Question @Mobasser . . . . Topics having most anything to do with chasing downing big brown bass from deep clear lakes almost always draw my interest, including the techniques & tackle used to do so. Other topics include but are limited to conversations regarding Night Bassing, Health & Fitness and of course . . . Dogs. When I was shopping & doing the research for my rig 2015/2016. I learned and got a metric TON of killer info & advice regarding just about everything. Boat, Motor, Trailer & accessories. I really appreciated that. Definitely saved me time & $$$. Which happen to be two of my favorite things . . . . So thanks for that BR. In the end, I hope I can keep learning. A-Jay 3 Quote
Super User Bird Posted June 28, 2022 Super User Posted June 28, 2022 The skunk threads. Lol These are the people I can relate to...... being humble and honest and trying to learn and get better. Mobasser, you are the official thread starter ? 3 1 Quote
Super User DitchPanda Posted June 28, 2022 Super User Posted June 28, 2022 My favorites include: worm threads particularly about color...cold water threads because where I live they really apply...drinking threads- I'm partial to ones about whiskey and I love cooking threads. 1 Quote

Super User Hammer 4 Posted June 28, 2022 Super User Posted June 28, 2022 I enjoy most of the topics. The ones I don't care to much for are repeated threads re: which line, what's the best line, and topics like those. I may not post a bunch, but I do read 98 % of the post's. 7 Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted June 28, 2022 Global Moderator Posted June 28, 2022 Probably the General Bass Fishing forum. Ya never know what your gonna get and it seems a lot of the new members start there first. The Tackle Forum and the Rods and Reel Forum used to be but now we seem to beat the same horse on the same subject’s, and by the time I read one my answer more times than not is already given. I don’t like repeating basically the same answer just to post something so I just move on. Mike 5 Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted June 28, 2022 Super User Posted June 28, 2022 I'm with 'The Hammer' for the most part - threads that repeat the same question over-and-over drive me nuts...especially when someone starts a duplicate of one that is only a week old. Excuse me? I read most threads, but I'm usually absorbing information...so quite often I just hide quietly in the background and listen intently to the experts. 3 Quote

Super User OkobojiEagle Posted June 28, 2022 Super User Posted June 28, 2022 Apparently there is a much broader range of topics on this site than I take the time to search out... oe 1 Quote
Super User Catt Posted June 28, 2022 Super User Posted June 28, 2022 Reminiscing about where this sport came from with the help of @whitwolf @Team9nine @WRB & others. Trying to keep up with where we're heading. Fishing Reports, not necessarily for pictures of bass but pictures of this beautiful country! 8 2 Quote
Super User LrgmouthShad Posted June 28, 2022 Super User Posted June 28, 2022 I really like following the Latest Catch Pics Thread and other fishing reports. We talk a lot of stuff about fishing on here but the reports are just that…. Fishing. I like @Catt’s numerous KISS threads I like spinnerbait threads I like reading stuff about fishing offshore, still trying to get myself to do it more. I can think of a lot that I’ve really enjoyed reading! 4 Quote

Super User king fisher Posted June 28, 2022 Super User Posted June 28, 2022 Anything with pictures. I like to read, but sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. Especially a picture of a giant bass or a well stocked tackle box. 1 Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted June 28, 2022 Super User Posted June 28, 2022 Tackle, rods..., boats..., and General, in that order. I check introductions about once a week and occasionally Southeast bass fishing. Quote

I like topics where members give their theories about smallmouth behavior in big water; lakes or river. 1 Quote
