frgavinn Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 Lews LFS Speed Spool on Amazon for $99 and it came with no oil or manual. Normal or should I get a return? Quote
garroyo130 Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 Should come with a manual. I don't believe oil is included ... at least in that model. Quote

If it doesn't have a manual and I'm guessing it's returned, the reel works just fine. The reel makes a clicking noise when I reel in freely but that could be fixed with some oil I hope... Quote
garroyo130 Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 That's retail price. I would exchange it for peace of mind. 1 Quote

Super User dodgeguy Posted June 23, 2022 Super User Posted June 23, 2022 I own a few of those reels and they make no clicking noises. Quote

I don't think oiling is going to get rid of clicking. It was probably bad from the get go. Quote
ironbjorn Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 I haven't bought a Speed Spool in a couple 2-3 years but I'm almost certain oil comes with (at least last I bought one) and definitely a manual. Quote

It's hard to explain, it's like when reeling in a lot of slack on light lures, when I spin it so the reel spins continuously, then it sometimes clicks. Not when I'm just reeling in. Quote
