I've put a ton of miles on the boat this year, currently on gallon #5 of Quicksilver Premium Plus.

Gallon # 10 started in febuary lost a few weeks in the big snow and gone every weekend almost since the melt plus a week straight.

Come to think of it I think I have used more gas in the boat than I have in my vehicle towing it over to the lake.

I have a bunch of hours on the trolling motor but not many on the engine. I tow to the area I want to fish that day & put in & start fishing. I will move with the engine from time to time & run back to the landing on it. So far this year I am on my 2nd. gallon. :o

I am on #3.  I rarely go over 15 miles round trip unless I go to Table Rock or Bull Shoals and my Opti gets good ghp when I keep the throttle back.

Nitro, it's a little one for those special Va. lakes. It sure is nice not having to deal with 2-stroke oil. I can fill my gas tank anywhere, anytime and just go.

I hear ya there buddy I was just checking my tally in gas and oil so far to date since january I have spent 257.27 bucks in oil mix alone!!!!

But it's all about the fishing,  I have been working pretty hard this year to find where the bass are traveling and establishing a lot of patterens over at our local lake and at least the rewards are a lot better than last year.

I have learned so much from this site and there is still so much more to learn....Man I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!!

Hope to meet you over there some day.

PS...You really should clean your boat!!! ;D

Can't believe I used to have to deal with measuring the adding oil each time I wanted to go fishing. Don't even get me started about the gas mileage. My old boat had a 1978 35hp Evinrude and the new boat has a 2004 30hp 4-stroke and the gas mileage is ridiculous. I probably ran about 20 miles total during the last tournament and probably only burned maybe 2 gallons.

You guys must be making long runs! If not you sure fish too much, I go out about 2/3 days a weeks and I am on my 3rd gallon had to use some of the Quicksilver Premium stuff, nothing like running out of oil on the lake and asking a fellow boater to borrow some  :o

Just finished adding the last of my first gallon. I'm self employed, and in this Obama-nible economy, I can only afford the fuel for a fishing trip about every 6 to 8 weeks. I sure miss the "good old days".

Same Here!

With my 50hp 4-stroke, I need to use Stabil during the summer just to keep the fuel from degrading.

How do you fish too much? ;D

I am making a lot of long runs this year and looking at my local lake to help my self understand a lot of different structures and drop-offs and such.

I knew this year was going to be different and cost a lot more money for me because this is the way I learn but like I stated before this is really exciting for me because what I have learned on here has directly impacted my fishing at home for the better.

Yea, I could read a book or something that someone else has published about the lake and I have but it's nothing like going out and finding paths of fish that weren't in these books and establishing patterns.

To me being self taught will stick with me for a long time and give me mental notes...Books can not do that.

Heven 't even reached a quart, much less than a gallon; the TM has been getting all the beating.

I just put my second gallon of oil in the boat last week.  I have a 2009 Evinrude Etec 200 HO.  It doesn't use a lot of oil or as much gas as smaller engines on smaller boats.  The XD100 oil is $59.99 a gallon so I have spent $120 this year on oil.

I thought the $34 I am spending on Amsoil was high.

I too am on the 4th gallon for the bass boat. The pontoon boat has a 115hp Yamaha four stroke. Changed the oil/filter/lower unit last weekend= $45...........................Al
