once in college we were bowling , None of us knew that you weren’t supposed to bowl at the same time the guy next to you bowled. A guy came over ready to kill us all over it, fun game

Hahahaha!!! Just there trying to drink a few cold ones and the guy in the next lane thinks he's Pete Weber. Been there myself.

O.K. so tonight wasn't as noisy, but people were talking, ect. I tried to ignore the voices, ect, and for the most part it worked, I just focused on what I was doing. Still it would be nice to have some quiet for a change.

Just so some of you know, I've been playing golf for about 30 years.

The noise never bothered me. It's a mindset.

The issue here is people don't expect it, so they get ticked off. If your mindset and routine are that you expect there will be noise at some point, it won't distract you.

Your comment about my work is off base as well. As General Manager, I'm responsible for everything and face disruptions all day long. Phones, guests, vendors, clients, associates, it's non-stop every day.  Sure, it's a giant pain when I have an important deadline, can't get any rhythm going, and a one hour project takes three because all of the disruptions. But that's the way things are.

What exactly am I off base "as well"  ? We will just have to agree to disagree..

I'm 42 years old, haven't shot a free-throw in front of a crowd in 24 years. I would bet I could go out and make 7 out of 10 in a stadium of 40,000 screaming fans. Maybe you should just embrace it. Sometimes, that's all you can do.

Same with libraries. Went to the library last week to download and make copies, the libraries of old are gone.

Todays library where i go is more like a daycare center where kids go to after school and play video games on the computers untill their parents get off work to pick them up.

So much loud talking amongst kids where back in my grade school library days instead of computers we actually went to read books or checkout books to bring home.

Walking by the row of computers i see what the kids are playing, guns, shooting, fighting, mostly violent stuff.

I was always shushed by the librarian or other kids, Shssssssh always with signs posted to be quiet.

Yep ^^^^^, the library at my school is like a circus most of the time when I go in there. The librarian I had in school would have either had a stroke or been in jail for child abuse with these kids.
