Couple years back I bought a presidential and just didn’t like the feel of it so I’ve stayed away from Pfluger since then, just the other day I ran into a supreme I really like the feel and look of it just got it on my ride in cast of a couple times and it feels just like the presidential, it definitely is not as smooth as even my 40 and $60 Shimano reels I’m gonna be taking it back again

Is this spinning reels since they don't make a Supreme BC anymore?

What I know is, I always open my Pfluegers as they seem notorious for over-packing with grease. So a new reel gets opened, flushed and re-greased/oiled before the line goes on. All my Pfluegers are smooth and easy to work.

My Pflueger spinning reels: Trion-30, President-25, 2-President XT-30s, Supreme-30

Pflueger was always the best spinning reels for the money at least up until recently. The gold Supreme XT I had was better than the similar priced Daiwa and Shimano reels I owned. Unfortunately it is at the bottom of Geist Lake with a 6'6" Lowrider Herm spinning rod.

mine are also smooth. I just wish the handle crank covers for the side the handle isnt on would not strip out the threads on the very cheap plastic cap when moving the handle to the opposite side.

Talk about a cheap company, the covers should be made of aluminum or some type of metal.

I just move the handle once - after purchasing I move it from the left to the right and never touch it again.

Better than others - my Mitchells aren't 'spin in' handles, the cap has a short length of threaded rod glued (ya, glued) to the cap...the handle  just slides in (hexagonal rod) and the cap spun into the end to hold it in place. If the threaded rod separates from the end-cap, the handle can just fall right out again.

I have a number of Supremes and they are all as smooth as my other reels, drags work well.  For the money they have all been excellent.  I won't buy another because they got rid of the anti reverse switch.  I don't know if they are packed with grease as I've never had a reason to open them.
