Old 18 rods

Does anyone have any experience with Old 18 rods? I have been bit hard by the BFS bug this year, and to date I have only purchased more entry level rods. After finding I am really enjoying that style of fishing it has me wanting to try out a higher end rod. I see Old 18 which is a US company makes what looks like some very nice BFS rods, but have no experience with the company to know anything about how they may perform vs their price point.

I think maybe you didn't get any replies because very few know of the company.  I've been reading fishing forums and review articles since Feb. 2009, and I've never heard of the company.

 

I consider myself open to taking the path least traveled, but many only look at the most popular brands.  Sometimes you can find unknown gems.  It's why I have 3 Pinnacle Primmus reels.

I have an old 18 hollow point rod, which I believe is out of production. It’s a 6-7 or 6-8 medium fast and I use it as my popper rod. It’s never let me down. Good build quality and has been durable in the 18 months or so I’ve used it.
