Super User Fishes in trees Posted July 5, 2010 Super User Posted July 5, 2010 Does anyone here have any experience with ultimate bunk boards. These are polyethelene 2 x 4s made to replace the wood bunk boards on your trailer? I busted a bunk board on my trailer and I'm thinking about upgrading/changing. I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with the product or the company. Their web site is www.ultimatebunkboards.com. Thanks Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted July 6, 2010 Super User Posted July 6, 2010 Just so you don't think you're being ignored, I have no experience with them and therefore, no comment. Quote
bass or bass ? Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 BPs and Cabels's sell polypropelyne skids to screw onto your bunks to increase ease of launching and recovery. I've only heard good things about them. I plan on installing a set on my bunks this year. They retail for $29.99 I believe. Quote
Super User South FLA Posted July 7, 2010 Super User Posted July 7, 2010 If you can get them to answer Emails then great, but until then just add slicks of needed, or better yet re-carpet marine grade boards and occasionally slick down with silicon, but be careful and make sure you don't unhook the boat before backing it up. Too much of a good thing is not good, kind of like ultimate bunk boards on a bass boat. ;D Quote
mark nowak Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 They work very well, but the are slick! Better make sure the boat is strapped down. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted July 8, 2010 Super User Posted July 8, 2010 Be vewy, vewy caweful on the ramps. Only unhook the winch strap when your boat can safely slide off the end of the trailer into the water and make sure the boat is locked on when pulling from the water. Quote
