Jeffrey Walker Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 I fish mostly ponds lots of weeds sometimes a lot of slop. I like to fish weedless rigs for that reason but sometimes the weeds and slop can be pretty thick so I would like to learn more about a punch rig. I don’t believe these are sold as a rig it’s something you have to create with a stopper on the line I believe is anybody have any more information or videos they can share via how to create some punch rigs I would like to create them maybe even with a leader if I have to just have them ready to go in the field 1 Quote
bigbassin' Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 2 bobber stops, weight heavy enough to break through (1-2 oz typical), punch skirt (optional), flipping hook or EWG based on preference, favorite creature bait. Someone, maybe @A-Jay, has a good picture they post when the topic comes up. 1 Quote
Super User T-Billy Posted June 12, 2022 Super User Posted June 12, 2022 I'm a big fan of Sufix 832 braid because it handles so well and is very abrasion resistant, but I thought Randalls take on this was interesting. I use the snell he shows here and it's never once failed me. Quote

Also hard to believe that clip is coming up on it's 10th anniversary. Pretty sure it's the first video I ever posted. Still applicable however I do use a bobber stop on the front end now.
