I just ordered 10 from BPS. They should be here Monday the 13th. Does anybody else know where to buy them ? Does anybody else have opinions on them? I usually use Booyah and Strike King.

Not my favorite but for the price I guess they're ok. Wire was a little too soft and bendy for my liking and I also prefer r bend spinnerbaits anyways. I didn't care to get them replaced after I snagged the couple I had. Looking at their website, I don't remember paying that much for them. They used to be cheaper. I still have two of the magnum ones for pike and it seems like the components on those are better than the standard one.

Who needs 10 new spinner baits?

Buy 3 good quality spinner baits that last a long time and have premium hooks, swivels and blades.

Tom I carry my 5 best colors with at least 4 of each of them along with others that just might be the ticket for a tough day.  Where I am one can’t predict what color or blade will be best and different colors work better on different lakes.

After all I’m the guy who has 22 colors of TRDs.

If you have toothy critters in the lakes you fish, you'll like the closed line tie and a leader, not to mention the attractive price.  The pike up in my neck of the woods tear up a spinnerbait in no time and the Reed Runners hold up as well, or better than other brands.

They are everywhere in those spinning spinnerbait stands in tackle stores in the upper Midwest.  I've caught quite a few on them and have also used them for pike and musky.  Its been years but I remember them being affordable so I bought them on fishing trips when we would get into a bunch of pike.  Let them destroy those instead of my good bass baits.  I still use some as night spinnerbaits.  Sort of a nostalgia bait for me.  They are functional baits but not exactly good among the myriad of bass spinnerbaits.

I also liked that I could attach a steel leader for pike with a clip to the lure eye because there is no R bend.

I buy them off the spinnerbait rack and they hold up very well.

All the pricey Booya ones (Pikee) I have bought have had their hooks rust after one season. Terrible product IMO.

Northland is excellent for the money. they are well built and will last forever and wont rust.. they are closed loop type too so you can add a steel leader for pike.

Wow those are the prices these days?  I remember these being $2 to $3 max like 10 years ago. Talk about inflation.  Are these made in the USA or something because that would explain the price.

Yep - headquartered in Bemidji, MN.

As I posted in another thread - I lived next door to John (founder) in the 70's when he was just starting out. Some of the lures he made back then might have been actually assembled by me as I worked part time during High School for him.
