Funny!! Except a Lews LFS is actually aluminum framed. Can't find much information on these reels that tells us much of anything. Don't know why it has to be such a marketing secret.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Dobyns hater. I love all my Dobyns casting rods. Just don't know why there are no specs on these reels. Do they not know? ?

It's a product for the fan boys, so it makes sense from a marketing perspective to not get too technical. I doubt they will gain enough traction to need to delve into it. As far as IPT, easy enough to figure out, you know the whole circumference of a circle eat some pie formula thing.

ps: I find Rachel Riley, and Holly Krieger quite sexy...

LOL! Had to look them up, but have to agree! The first picture I saw of Rachel was her being pregnant, so that ties to circumference I guess! ? and Holly Krieger being a mathematician makes sense too,... Plus she can help balance your checkbook and set a fishing budget!..... WAIT! Maybe not a good idea!!! ??

Oh yeah...??? Well would a fan boy want a reel accented with green, blue, and red colors to perfectly match any series of Dobyns rods they own?

Not official but,  26, 28, 31 IPT

Sounds about right. If you multiply gear ratio by 4.05 you'll get really close for a 100 sized reel, or....

Modern 100 size bait reels IPT ,advertised*

6.3:1= 26”

7.1:1 = 30”

8.1:1= 34”

* measured with spool filled 1/16 below the rim is about 2” less. After 40 yard cast about 40% less using size small spool bait casting reels.

Tom

PS, contact Dobyns for IPT
