I caught a bass and Got the hook out but I noticed another hook in its throat, I pretty easily got it out and there was some blood but only a drop. I released it and it was moving around fast but it slowed down and was just swimming at the surface for a while until it was out of sight. Did it survive?

No-one knows for sure, however you can't save them all even with the best of intent. Best case scenario, turtles have to eat too.

And eagles and osprey and raccoons and buzzards.

I'm sure a few of the fish we catch and release on the spot die.  I suspect that many more die that are hauled around in live wells all day, then released.
