Nice to see, but to me the first thing that I thought was that they just copied the OG Slim.

You've never seen one in person then. It's taller, thinner, shorter, the bill is different and they wiggle harder than the OG Slim does. The slim is wood, the CM is plastic, so basically they're both flatsided cranks and that's where the similarities end.

I like the og slim.  I meant to pick up the chick magnet this spring but my local bass pro didn't have them.  I'll have to get one for next spring. I like a thin circuit board lip on a flatside crank.  It slices through the water better and helps the bait wiggle at slow retrieves.  How fast do these rise when paused?

Actually I have seen them in person and thought they pretty much the same. Same basic body shape with the same flat bill.

Appreciate the information though, because even looking at the two images in this thread, they don't look significantly different. I may have to get one and try it out.

yes, it has rattles, another difference between it and most flat sided baits.

Does it have enough weight to throw on a bait caster?

Oh yeah, no issues there.

So I found a Chick Magnet, and it sinks. Is that normal?

It had a little hairline fracture along the tail. I’m wondering if it leaked and got dirt trapped inside it. It still rattles. I tried removing the split ring and used a small Norman Speed Clip, but it still sank. Without the Speed Clip or split ring, it won’t swim because the lip doesn’t get in the right position. Maybe the previous owner replaced the hooks and messed up the balance.

I think all my other flat sides suspend or slow rise.
