Finally ordered my first Curado…went with a 200K in 7.4:1….I’ve typically been a Tatula guy, so I’m anxious to see how they compare! Planning to throw some 19lb sunline defier armilo  on it and see how it goes!

Good choice.
I have an E, G, I and K and use them every outing.
To me the K is the smoothest casting and 2nd best overall.

I have loved both of mine so far but if you go back to Daiwa get the new Zillion.  It's so good,  it's making me rethink how I fish.

I actually do have one! Love it so far!

Dn 3 congratulations.  Great line.

Mike then what do you consider the best and why?

There’s no one reason.
It’s hard to point to one thing that is better than anything else you can buy.

Granted It doesn’t have all the new technology or built with same materials that the current models have, it’s just built like a tank.
It will throw an unweighted plastic with the same ease as one smaller and lighter.

Over the years the E has built an aura around it and still has somewhat of a cult following.

A well maintained used one is hard to find and if you do they don’t come cheap.

Very few reels can say that.

Welcome to the family. I've been running Curado's for probably 25 years now, starting way back with the Bantam series.

which one do you like the best? I have a 200i that i really love but some people didn't like them compared to other models because you have to put a drop of oil on the brake drum every once in a while.

The E is the best Curado reel ever made for the reasons above.

Of the other 3 I own it’s the K, I and G in that order.
I use the E, K and I every outing and they each have their individual qualities.

As far as oiling the drum on the I, it’s really no big deal and don’t care.
It shouldn’t be a deal breaker for anyone wanting a smooth, consistent, well made casting reel that can do it all.

cool! Ya I think thats the reason people don't like the I models. no idea why otherwise??

Probably, I don’t know of any other reason why they wouldn’t.
The reel got a bad rap from the beginning having to give it that extra step, which in reality we really shouldn’t have to do.
